Description
We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Platform/Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design and evolution of enterprise-scale cloud platforms on Amazon Web Services. This role will drive architecture strategy, platform engineering, automation, and governance across multiple workloads and teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable AWS-based cloud infrastructure solutions.
Requirements
1. Cloud Expertise:
Deep expertise in AWS services such as Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, AWS Lambda, Amazon VPC, AWS IAM
Strong experience with multi-account strategy, landing zones, and governance frameworks
Expertise in AWS automation tools (CLI, SDKs, IaC frameworks)
2. DevOps & Platform Engineering:
Strong expertise in CI/CD architecture and DevOps transformation
Experience designing enterprise pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or AWS-native tools
Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and reusable module design
3. Containers and Orchestration:
Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes
Hands-on architecture experience with Amazon EKS / ECS
Experience designing scalable container platforms
4. Automation and Scripting:
Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Experience building automation frameworks and self-service platforms
Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
5. Monitoring and Observability:
Expertise in observability frameworks using Amazon CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog
Ability to design end-to-end monitoring and alerting strategies
6. Networking and Security:
Deep knowledge of networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Load Balancers, DNS)
Strong expertise in AWS security services, encryption, IAM policies, and compliance frameworks
Experience implementing Zero Trust and secure cloud architectures
7. Soft Skills:
Strong architectural thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities

Job responsibilities
Design and own enterprise-scale, scalable, secure, and resilient AWS architectures across multi-account and multi-region environments.
Define and implement platform architecture standards, reusable frameworks, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.
Architect and govern CI/CD ecosystems, enabling automated, secure, and efficient software delivery pipelines.
Drive high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies aligned with business continuity requirements.
Lead container platform architecture using Docker and orchestration platforms like Amazon EKS / Kubernetes.
Establish and standardize DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering practices across teams.
Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to define cloud strategy, roadmap, and governance models.
Architect and implement observability frameworks including logging, monitoring, and alerting using Amazon CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or enterprise tools.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to DevOps and engineering teams.
Drive cost optimization (FinOps), performance tuning, and resource efficiency initiatives.
Lead cloud migration and modernization programs (rehost, replatform, refactor).
Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance standards across the AWS environment.
Define and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and best practices.
