    We are looking for a Middle Video Engineer to join our team and help improve and support our video streaming infrastructure. Together with the Product Owner, we define priorities across the backlog β€” ranging from long-term, high-effort initiatives to urgent, fast-delivery tasks.

    Responsibilities:
     

    • Design, develop, and maintain a scalable video streaming server
    • Support and extend an existing ffmpeg-based encoding service (with parts migrating to GStreamer)
    • Maintain and improve an existing web-based video player
    • Optimize code performance and resource usage
    • Develop and support event-based handlers for a video mixer pipeline

    Must-Have:
     

    • Hands-on experience with ffmpeg
    • Strong understanding of video streaming protocols: RTMP, MPEG-TS + SRT, RTP, WebRTC, HLS

    Nice-to-Have:
     

    • Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript or Python
    • Familiarity with GStreamer
    • Understanding of video encoding techniques
    • Knowledge of video codecs and container formats
    • Good grasp of networking concepts (multicast, backpressure, socket buffers, slow client issues)
