    We are looking for a skilled Full stack web developer with strong Kotlin expertise to help us polish the functionality, ensure stability, and successfully launch the product.

     

    A new team member will be in charge of:

    • Finalize and prepare the platform for a stable and secure production launch.
    • Develop and maintain backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot.
    • Optimize database design, queries, and system performance.
    • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
    • Ensure code quality and stability through testing and debugging.
    • Collaborate with mobile, QA, and product teams to support release readiness.
    • Support deployment and performance optimization in Azure (if applicable).
    • Contribute to frontend improvements using JavaScript / daisyUI when needed.

    We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a part-time healthcare project focused on building a Connected Device Data Platform that ingests biometric data (pulse, heart rate, O2, steps, accelerometer) from smartwatch wearable devices via AWS IoT Core and delivers it to a companion mobile app. The platform is in an early stage – initial AWS infrastructure has been set up, but no real devices are connected yet.

    This position provides for the possibility of business trips (EU, USA) and ​has the potential to scale to a ​full-time position.



    What We’re Looking For:
     

    • 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including architecting and managing production environments
    • Strong expertise in AWS IoT Core, EKS/Kubernetes, RDS (PostgreSQL), S3, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, and networking
    • Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar)
    • Solid Infrastructure-as-Code skills (Terraform preferred, CloudFormation or CDK acceptable)
    • Experience with containerized deployments using Kubernetes/Docker in AWS (EKS)
    • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation and toolchain development
    • Understanding of security best practices, certificate management, and encryption in AWS
    • Experience working in agile teams with sprint-based delivery (2–3 week sprints)
    • Great communication skills in English – ability to interact with client's PM and technical stakeholders and multi-cultural team
    • Self-directed and able to make informed decisions with limited documentation
    • Willing to travel to the EU and the USA for business trips


    Your Responsibilities:

    • Conduct an initial assessment of the existing AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes; provide recommendations and a prioritized improvement plan
    • Manage and maintain AWS services: IoT Core (MQTT, device certificates, fleet provisioning), EKS/Kubernetes clusters, PostgreSQL (RDS), InfluxDB/Timestream, S3, CloudWatch, SNS
    • Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline) for build, test, and deployment workflows
    • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK)
    • Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging for platform health and performance
    • Support device connectivity workflows – certificate management, Infineon M5Stack edge device provisioning, MQTT broker configuration
    • Implement security best practices and contribute to HIPAA compliance foundations (encryption, audit logging, access controls)
    • Collaborate with the backend engineer on deployment automation and environment management (dev, staging, production)
    • Provide on-call infrastructure support as the platform scales from hundreds to thousands of connected devices
    • Develop automation scripts and toolchain improvements to reduce manual operational overhead

    • Experience with healthcare platforms and HIPAA compliance requirements
    • Familiarity with IoT device provisioning, MQTT protocols, and edge computing
    • Experience with InfluxDB or AWS Timestream for time-series data
    • Familiarity with FHIR data standards
