Job Description

• Lead a team of Junior engineers by providing technical guidance, assigning task, and offering mentorship

We’re looking for a Tech Lead to drive architecture and engineering leadership for a high-impact, mobile-first logistics platform in agriculture. A key challenge: optimizing complex real-time delivery routes and demand-matching via a core engine called OLA (Optimizing Logistics Algorithms).
This role is ideal for someone with a deep background in Python OOP, performance optimization, and microservices architecture — particularly in high-load, real-time systems. 

What You’ll Do:

• Design and lead scalable microservices in Python (FastAPI) with real-time computation needs
• Architect optimization-heavy features (e.g. route/matching algorithms, supply-demand logic)
• Build multiprocessing systems for large-scale parallel calculations
• Drive system decomposition (monolith → microservices) and deployment in AWS/Kubernetes
• Promote clean OOP, code reuse, abstraction layers, and modular architecture

 
What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years in backend/full-stack engineering, 3+ in a leadership role
• Strong Python skills, especially OOP and abstraction design
• Experience with optimization problems (e.g. linear programming, graph algorithms)
• Hands-on with microservices, multiprocessing, and scalable API design
• Deployment experience on AWS, Kubernetes, ECS, or EC2
• Solid grasp of performance tuning, profiling, and database scaling (PostgreSQL, read replicas)
• Education: Masters in Computer science or similar

Will be a plus:

• Familiarity with Google OR-Tools or custom routing algorithms
• Experience with Git submodules and shared module management
• Background in logistics, routing, or supply chain systems

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our team and take a leading role in building and optimizing our systems. You’ll have a direct impact on shaping the user experience of our platforms by creating scalable, high-performance solutions. 

Tech Stack

FastAPI (Python): Pydantic for schema validation, uvicorn for async runtime, OpenRouter/LLM API consumption, Swagger

Core Responsibilities:

- Integrate and maintain 3rd-party APIs and SDKs into our backend services.

- Build internal API wrappers and tools to standardize and scale integrations.

- Develop secure, efficient, type-safe RESTful APIs that expose integrated data to our frontend and AI layers.

- Define and maintain OpenAPI (Swagger) specs and ensure all endpoints are documented and testable.

- Implement API-level unit and integration tests with proper coverage.

- Handle streaming endpoints, webhooks, and event-based architectures for real-time data flows.

- Collaborate with AI engineers to build tool calling libraries consumable by OpenRouter and the Vercel AI SDK.

- Work closely with product and frontend teams to align on integration logic and data modeling

Skills & Experience:

- Strong experience working with external APIs and SDKs (REST, OAuth, webhooks, polling).

- Proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and/or TypeScript (NestJS).

- Familiarity with GCP APIs and cloud services (especially BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).

- Expertise with Pydantic models, type safety, and generating Swagger/OpenAPI specs.

- Ability to write clean, well-structured backend services that integrate with internal and external systems.

- Experience writing scalable, maintainable unit and integration tests.

- Bonus: Experience implementing tool-using LLM backends with structured tool descriptions and execution logic.
