    About SlotCatalog

    SlotCatalog is a leading intelligence and data platform in the online casino industry. We serve both players and industry stakeholders by tracking slot games, providing performance insights, and managing large-scale structured data. The business is profitable and growing, with strong traction across both SEO and direct industry relationships. We are now expanding into regulated markets, direct media sales, and AI-powered tools.

    What We’re Looking For

    We’re hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to take full ownership of SlotCatalog’s infrastructure, reliability, and DevOps practices at a critical stage of growth.

    Until now, infrastructure and operational decisions have been largely founder-led and handled in an ad-hoc manner. This role will become the primary technical owner of production reliability and platform stability, responsible for building a mature, scalable, and well-documented DevOps function.

    You will lead the transition from a founder-managed setup to a structured, production-grade DevOps organization, defining standards, processes, and long-term architecture. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will both design and implement solutions, while setting the direction for how infrastructure, CI/CD, security, and observability are built and maintained.

    You will act as the key bridge between Engineering, Product, and Leadership, ensuring that delivery speed, system reliability, and security are balanced in a sustainable way. The role requires strong technical depth, ownership mindset, and the ability to make architectural decisions that will support the company’s growth over the next years.

    Responsibilities

    Infrastructure & Reliability Ownership:

    • Own the full lifecycle of production infrastructure and environments.
    • Define and maintain standards for availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.
    • Lead the migration and stabilization of infrastructure from DigitalOcean/Hetzner to AWS.

    CI/CD & Automation:

    • Architect and own CI/CD pipelines (GitlabCI) and deployment strategies.
    • Design and implement automation for provisioning, deployment, scaling, and recovery using Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD.

    Kubernetes & Platform Engineering:

    • Own Kubernetes clusters (EKS): architecture, security, networking, scaling, and upgrades.
    • Define best practices for deployments, ingress, secrets management, and service reliability.

    Observability & Incident Management:

    • Own monitoring, logging, and alerting stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
    • Define SLOs/SLAs, alerting policies, and incident response processes.
    • Lead post-incident reviews and reliability improvements.

    Security & Access Management:

    • Own access control, IAM, secrets, network security, SSL/TLS, and compliance basics.
    • Ensure secure-by-design infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

    Collaboration & Technical Leadership:

    • Act as DevOps authority for backend, data, and product teams.
    • Participate in architecture discussions and release planning.
    • Mentor engineers in infrastructure and reliability best practices.
    • Establish documentation, runbooks, and operational standards.

    Requirements & Skills

    • 5+ years of DevOps / Platform Engineering experience, including:
    • At least 2+ years owning AWS production environments.
    • Strong System Administration background (Linux, networking, access control).
    • Deep expertise in Kubernetes (EKS, networking, autoscaling, security, ingress, secrets).
    • Hands-on experience with:
    • Docker
    • GitlabCI
    • Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD
    • Strong knowledge of:
    • Prometheus, Grafana, Loki
    • High-availability and fault-tolerant architectures
    • Solid understanding of:
    • Networking, security, IAM, VPN, firewalls, SSL/TLS
    • Experience operating and tuning MySQL/MariaDB in cloud environments.
    • Understanding of backend stacks (PHP) to support environment design and deployment optimization.
    • Proven ownership mindset: ability to take responsibility for uptime, performance, and delivery quality.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience designing multi-region, high-availability architectures.
    • Blue-Green / Canary deployment strategies.
    • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
    • Experience with performance tuning of databases and message queues.
    • Experience building platform standards in fast-growing product companies.

    Technology Stack

    • Infrastructure: DigitalOcean/Hetzner Linux servers.
    • Cloud: AWS (EKS, EC2, S3).
    • Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
    • Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki.
    • Databases: MariaDB/MySQL.
    • IaC / CI/CD: Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, GitlabCI.
    • Language: The product is written in PHP.
    • Additional Systems: RabbitMQ, Valkey/Redis.

    What Success Looks Like

    • Production stability and incident rate visibly improved.
    • Fully automated, reproducible infrastructure and deployments.
    • Clear DevOps standards, documentation, and runbooks.
    • Predictable release process with strong observability and rollback.
    • Leadership and engineering trust in the DevOps function as a system owner, not just a support role.

    About

    EdSpan is an innovative EdTech company dedicated to creating cutting-edge learning experiences that empower the next generation of students. Our collaboration with a US-based private school network helps us better understand user needs while expanding our B2C and B2B products to a broader audience. Our current focus includes an AI-guided tutoring experiences, a peer-to-peer tutoring platform, and a custom learning management system.

    We operate within a framework of clearly defined processes supported by automation for routine tasks, and open, productive collaboration across the team. Our workflows are based on Agile principles, with daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprints, and other key Scrum practices. At the same time, we keep meetings to a minimum to ensure everyone can stay focused on delivering high-quality results and continuing to grow professionally.

    Who you are

    We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with complex systems — someone who understands how things connect together, handles edge cases, and makes new features fit flawlessly into existing logic.

    This role is not like other traditional Business Analyst positions that focus heavily on interaction with stakeholders. On the opposite, this position is about deep, focused work: analyzing changes, mapping flows, and writing clear, complete specifications for engineers — few meetings and lots of thinking. You bring structure, clarity, and a sharp analytical mindset.

    Requirements

    • At least 4 years in a Business Analyst role and fluency in spoken English;
    • Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of BA methodologies and tools — to choose the right approach for each complex case;
    • Ability to write concise, clear, and structured user stories in the rule-oriented format;
    • Strong interpersonal skills and experience navigating complex stakeholder structures — to align diverse perspectives into one consistent solution;
    • Proven skill in documenting and diagramming complex flows (hundreds of elements), in order to make sophisticated systems understandable and maintainable;
    • Familiarity with relational databases, to analyze data structures and identify the right points for change;
    • Experience working on AI-driven products (AI agents, or AI workflows) is highly desirable — or a strong understanding of agentic systems, prompting, and evals;
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — for a strong analytical and technical foundation.

    Would be a plus

    • Familiarity with Mobile platforms and experience delivering applications from concept to successful App Store launch;
    • Experience defining and implementing complex API integrations: Payment Service Providers, video streaming platforms, and other.

    What will you do

    • Prepare user stories / change requests based on the collected requirements while working with the Product team and Business stakeholders:
      • analyze the current state (As-Is) as well as impact analysis (To-Be) and identify gaps;
      • prepare or modify existing BMPN diagrams to supplement specifications;
      • thoroughly polish user stories to cover every little detail to minimize product defects;
    • Work with the Engineering team during all SDLC stages to clarify the goal, requirements, corner-case scenarios, relevant test cases, etc.
    • Proactively work with stakeholders to identify different types of requirements (business, solution, transition requirements, and other);
    • Conduct research and analyze the business domain, including competitor analysis, market research, etc.

    • Familiar with LLM evaluation metrics and tools (BLEU, RAGAS, DeepEval, and other);
    • Upper-Intermediate level of English (B2) or above.

    Highly desireable

    • Proven experience building AI-driven workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar orchestration tools;
    • Knowledge of AWS cloud and MLOps.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, implement, and optimize LLM prompts to ensure reliable outputs;
    • Assist in developing and maintaining AI evaluation workflows, including designing evaluation guidelines and metrics;
    • Help design and develop AI data pipelines: collection, storage, annotation, and model improvement;
    • Leverage agent orchestration tools to improve and automate AI workflows;
    • Collaborate with the product team to ensure AI capabilities power usable product features.
