About you

We expect you to have a solid backend foundation. You, of course, do not need to be an expert in everything (nor we consider it possible), but you have to have a good grasp on what's going on on the backend in general, beyond Python and Django.
 

• You are familiar with Python, its quirks, weak spots, and workarounds. You can name at least three things which you don’t like in Python, and what is usually done to work around its limitations. You follow the evolution of the Python ecosystem
• You don't need to know the intricacies of threaded or asynchronous code, but need to have a general sense of when you might need these
• Besides Python, you used at least one other programming language to create commercial or open-source products
• You are familiar with PostgreSQL or MySQL and know at least some of its quirks, weak spots and workarounds. You can name at least one thing you don’t like in your database of choice and how to work around its limitations. About the Project

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team and contribute to a dynamic project in the esports domain. The project involves building innovative digital solutions that enhance player experience, audience engagement, and business performance within the global esports ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear and structured functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and the Development team to ensure shared understanding of project goals.
• Define and maintain product backlog items, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support stakeholders during requirement clarification and product development lifecycle.
• Participate in solution design and validate that delivered functionality meets business objectives.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Prepare documentation (BRD, SRS, User Stories, Use Cases, etc.) according to company standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects.
• Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, or similar.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2) — ability to communicate effectively with international teams and clients.
• Experience or strong interest in the esports industry will be a significant advantage.
