    We are looking for a highly skilled AWS DevOps Engineer with extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 5 years of continuous, practical AWS usage, with deep knowledge of infrastructure automation, cost control, and security compliance.

     

    Core Responsibilities

     

    Cost Management and Optimization

    • Continuously monitor AWS billing and usage using Cost Explorer, Budgets, and CloudWatch.
    • Proactively identify and implement cost-saving measures, including right-sizing, reserved instances, and S3 lifecycle management.
    • Provide regular reports and recommendations on cloud spend optimization.

     

    Security and Compliance

    • Enforce security best practices using AWS IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and CloudTrail.
    • Manage identity and access policies following least privilege principles.

     

    Cloud Infrastructure Management

    • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient AWS environments.
    • Manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
    • Optimize workloads for high availability, auto-scaling, and disaster recovery.

     

    CI/CD and Automation

    • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
    • Automate build, test, and deployment processes for containerized and serverless applications.

     

    Monitoring and Reliability

    • Implement proactive monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch.
    • Lead incident response and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

     

    Collaboration and Documentation

    • Work closely with developers, QA, and operations teams to support agile delivery.
    • Maintain documentation of infrastructure, procedures, and policies.

     

    Required Skills and Experience

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, including production-scale environments.
    • Strong proficiency with key AWS services:
    1. Compute: EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda
    2. Storage: S3, EBS, EFS, Glacier
    3. Networking: VPC, Route 53, CloudFront, API Gateway
    4. Security: IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub
    5. Management & Monitoring: CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Config, Trusted Advisor
    • Deep understanding of AWS pricing models and cost optimization techniques.
    • Proven experience implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
    • Strong background in Linux systems, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
    • Experience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD tools, and DevSecOps practices.
    • Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, SSL, VPN, load balancing).
    • Demonstrated focus on security hardening, compliance, and data protection in cloud environments.
    • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Solutions Architect, or Security Specialty are highly desirable.
    • Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English β€” both spoken and written.
    • Ukrainian proficiency for internal communication with the team.

     

    Nice to Have

    • Experience with multi-account AWS organization management and Control Tower.
    • Familiarity with FinOps principles and AWS cost governance tools.
    • Exposure to serverless architectures and event-driven design patterns.
    • Knowledge of observability stacks (ELK, OpenTelemetry).

    Job Description

    β€’ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field, with 5+ years of overall industry experience;
    β€’ Strong computer science fundamentals; able to design and implement efficient algorithms with ease;
    β€’ 1+ years of hands-on experience with agentic AI and/or LLM-based agents or applications;
    β€’ Proven experience designing and building middleware platforms, REST APIs, and distributed systems at scale;

    About the Role

    Our Helpdesk team (2 SysAdmins total) owns the internal systems Solidgate runs on: secure access, device fleet, office network, and core corporate tooling. As a Helpdesk Lead, you will own the function end-to-end: define service standards, drive operational discipline, and eliminate manual work through automation.

    Scope includes cross-platform fleet management (MacOS / Linux / Windows), identity & access, asset lifecycle, network reliability, and administration of Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Atlassian environments. This role partners directly with Engineering, Security, and Leadership to maintain a predictable, safe, and scalable internal IT environment β€” enabling teams across Solidgate to move fast without friction.

    What you’ll be in charge of

    • The Helpdesk function β€” from daily operations to long-term strategy;
    • Maintenance and monitoring of the office network equipment, access control systems, and overall network performance;
    • Overseeing office hardware lifecycle: procurement, setup, maintenance, and replacement;
    • Management and optimization of corporate software licenses, employee access rights, and security compliance;
    • Supervision of the configuration and support of MacOS, Linux, and Windows environments;
    • Automation and standardization in onboarding/offboarding and access management;
    • Administering Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jira, and Confluence environments;
    • Technical operations during company events (streaming, AV setup, etc.);
    • Proactive monitoring, incident management, and documentation processes;
    • Collaboration with leadership to define IT policies, SLAs, and internal service standards.
       

    You’re a great fit if you have

    • 3+ years of experience in SysAdmin / IT Support / HelpDesk roles (including team or function ownership);
    • Solid understanding of networking (VLANs, IPsec, DNS, etc.);
    • Strong experience with MacOS, Unix/Linux, and Windows administration;
    • Hands-on experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jira/Confluence, and Access Control Systems;
    • Excellent troubleshooting, prioritization, and communication skills;
