The Context We manage growth for a DTC healthcare brand. Some of our products (prescription) and our targeting (health conditions) sit squarely in Googleβs "Restricted Businesses" and "Personal Hardships" categories.
- The problem: Our ads run, but our feed constantly fights for survival. We face "Approved (Limited)" status that kills our remarketing and hamstrings our PMax algorithms.

- The goal: We need a partner to own this puzzle. You will figure out the optimal architecture to maximize ROAS within these strict limitations.
What You Will Own
- The "Cat & Mouse" Strategy: You manage the daily/weekly battle of manual reviews. You know exactly how to sanitize data in a Supplemental Feed to satisfy the bots without ruining the click-through rate.
- Architecting for Restrictions: You determine the campaign mix. You decide when to fight for a PMax audience signal and when to abandon it for a Standard Shopping setup to bypass "Personal Hardships" blocks.
- The "Why" Behind the Performance: You donβt just report that ROAS is down. You diagnose why. (e.g., "We lost the 'Approved' status on Product X, so PMax lost retargeting data. Iβm shifting budget to Search until we fix the feed.")
- Operationalizing Compliance: You build the system so that valid products donβt stay disapproved for weeks. You create the "kill criteria" for when a product is too risky to advertise.

Step 1 β 30 min Interview with our recruiter or Technical PM
Step 2 β Record a ~20-minute Loom or video (camera and screen sharing), where you:
- Introduce yourself and your background (up to 5 minutes)
- Choose a project you have worked on (personal or commercial) that you know well, and introduce it
- Spend ~10 minutes walking us through the project: its structure, architectural decisions, why you made them, how users interact with it, what works well, what does not, and what you would improve. Please also share an interesting problem you faced and how you solved it.
Step 3 β A 90-minute technical call with the founder or tech lead. We will discuss your video, ask additional technical questions, and dive deeper into software architecture. There will be some live coding and whiteboarding, focused on real, day-to-day problems β no Hackerrank-style tasks.
