Job Summary 

We are looking for an experienced Streaming SDET to сontribute to our test automation ecosystem. You will be responsible for architecting and developing complex, new Python-based automation solutions, primarily focused on validating video quality and significantly expanding test coverage for core product features. This role offers the opportunity for technical research, creative problem-solving, implementing new functionality, and applying personal innovation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to face and solve complex technical challenges, using your expertise to develop efficient solutions. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop new complex testing components based on project requirements.
• Identify and fix bugs in the test code, ensuring the codebase remains clean and up-to-date.
• Support QA testing activities (daily and releases) by maintaining the testing infrastructure and diagnosing/resolving critical problems.
• Create clear and concise technical documentation for the testing solutions developed by the team.
• Actively take part in internal code reviews to maintain high quality and knowledge sharing.
• Identify problems in the firmware under test and file precise, detailed bug reports.
• Proactively analyze the existing testing infrastructure and framework, proposing strategic improvements and implementing new functionality into the test automation suite.
• Collaborate effectively with other engineering teams to ensure testing results are delivered on time.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong Python knowledge
• Experience with Linux systems
• Strong CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns, etc.)
• Experience in developing support tools, including parsers, profilers, and data visualization tools.
• Understanding the DevOps and CI tools (Jenkins, Gerrit, GitLab)
• Understanding the classic test pyramid
• Knowledge of main streaming codecs HEVC, AVC, AV1
• Understanding of client-server live-streaming architecture
• Video/Audio quality metrics assessment background

• At least an Intermediate level in both written and spoken English (B1).

Our small, focused team is responsible for automation testing of IoT products’ firmware. We are currently seeking an SDET Intern (Python) who is eager to learn and will assist the team by performing test automation tasks that will progressively grow in complexity as they develop their skills, while also contributing to the upkeep of our existing solutions.

• Learn and execute Python test automation tasks within a live project environment.
• Assist senior engineers and contribute to the upkeep of the testing infrastructure by following team guidance.
