Job Responsibilities

Functional Testing

• Develop, coordinate, and execute end-to-end functional testing for core platform workflows including ingestion, parsing, transformation, and storage.
• Validate data integrity and correctness across DB2, PostgreSQL, and downstream processing pipelines.
• Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test data for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Perform API testing and validation for services supporting data ingestion, matching, and processing workflows.
• Execute regression and smoke tests across assigned platforms for each release cycle.
• Identify, document, and manage defects using enterprise bug tracking tools (Azure DevOps / Jira).

Automation & Technical

• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Validate complex data-driven workflows including parsing, normalization, and transformation logic.

Key Responsibilities

–  Own manual testing as a first-class discipline: exploratory testing, fast bug hunting, unconventional test paths, and creative edge-case thinking

Requirements

Must have

–  3+ years of manual testing, including mandatory SaaS product experience

–  2+ years of test automation with TypeScript and Playwright

–  1+ year of hands-on AI-assisted work: core Claude Code CLI (or similar agentic CLI) commands and workflows, context window management, basics of AI agent orchestration, and an understanding of skills (what they are, how to create and apply them)

About the project: The project is a software product used by business customers, under active, ongoing development with regular releases. The team ships new features and improvements on a continuous basis, which means testing needs to keep pace without slowing delivery down. Quality is treated as a shared responsibility across the team, but manual testing plays a central role in catching issues that automated coverage doesn't reach — particularly around usability, edge cases, and real-world workflows. The environment is collaborative, with QA working closely alongside developers and product throughout the development cycle rather than only at the end of it.

You have:

• 6+ years of experience in manual QA/software testing
• Based in the UK
• Strong skills in test planning, test case design, and exploratory testing
• Experience writing clear, detailed bug reports and tracking them through resolution
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA's role within it
• Ability to work independently, prioritize testing effort, and make judgment calls on risk areas
• Fluent English

What to do:

• Design, write, and maintain test plans and test cases based on requirements and specs
• Perform manual functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing
• Identify, document, and track bugs clearly, with enough detail for developers to reproduce and fix them
• Verify fixes and perform regression testing ahead of releases
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and edge cases
• Flag quality risks and advocate for the end user throughout the development cycle
• Help refine and improve QA processes and testing coverage over time

We’re looking for a QA Manual Engineer who knows how to dig deeper than the happy path, ask the right questions, and take real ownership of product quality.

Your role

You’ll be involved in the full QA cycle — from reviewing requirements and planning testing activities to validating features and supporting releases.

You will:

• Test web applications across functional and non-functional scenarios.
• Analyze requirements and identify inconsistencies or missing cases before development reaches production.
• Perform API testing using Postman and Swagger.
• Work with databases and run SQL queries when needed.
• Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and clear bug reports.
• Collaborate closely with developers and other team members.

• Take responsibility for product quality and release readiness.

   

What you bring

• 3+ years of commercial experience in Manual QA / web testing.
• Confident understanding of QA processes and the bug lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with Postman and/or Swagger.
• Ability to write basic SQL queries.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Practical experience testing audio/call recording solutions is essential, particularly within telephony, VoIP, UCaaS/CCaaS, or other voice communication products.

• English at B2 level or higher.

   

A plus if you have

• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or Selenium.
• Experience with performance/load testing.
• Familiarity with Windows Server 2012.

• ISTQB certification.
