General QA Engineer (Manual + Automation, AI-Native)
We're a fast-growing tech company with a portfolio of SaaS products serving diverse industries. Innovation, performance, and design precision are core to our values.
We're looking for a QA ninja who knows our product better than anyone else on the team and stays closest to our real customers. You'll test with a customer mindset, thinking, clicking, and breaking things the way a real user would. This is not a follow-the-checklist role. We move fast, and so will you. Requirements will sometimes be incomplete, and you'll know how to test anyway, ask the right questions, and find the bugs others miss.
Key Responsibilities
โ Own manual testing as a first-class discipline: exploratory testing, fast bug hunting, unconventional test paths, and creative edge-case thinking
โ Design test coverage using formal test design techniques (equivalence partitioning, boundary values, decision tables, state transitions, pairwise, and others)
โ Write, maintain, and extend automated tests in TypeScript and Playwright, and keep the suite reliable as the product evolves
โ Work daily with AI coding agents (Claude Code CLI or IDE extension, OpenCode, or similar) to accelerate testing, generate test cases, and automate routine work
โ Test payments end-to-end across Stripe, Adyen, and PayPal, including sandboxes, test cards, webhooks, and provider-specific behavior
โ Run cross-browser and responsive testing across viewports (BrowserStack), on real devices and simulators/emulators
โ Perform API testing, read and interpret application logs to localize issues, and maintain Playwright reporting pipelines with Slack notifications
โ Write and maintain test cases in Xray, ideally generated with AI assistance, and report results clearly within Scrum
โ Analyze and improve: proactively propose product and UX improvements and, when needed, run comparative analysis against competitors
Requirements
Must have
โ 3+ years of manual testing, including mandatory SaaS product experience
โ 2+ years of test automation with TypeScript and Playwright
โ 1+ year of hands-on AI-assisted work: core Claude Code CLI (or similar agentic CLI) commands and workflows, context window management, basics of AI agent orchestration, and an understanding of skills (what they are, how to create and apply them)
โ Strong command of test design techniques; this is non-negotiable
โ Solid understanding of client-server architecture and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
โ Payment testing experience: Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, sandbox environments, and provider specifics
โ Git and GitHub/GitLab workflows
Also required
โ Ability to create and maintain CI/CD jobs (GitHub Actions preferred)
โ Understanding of Playwright reporting pipelines: publishing reports (e.g., to an S3 bucket) and configuring Slack notifications for automated test runs
โ Xray for test case management
โ Ability to test effectively under incomplete or ambiguous requirements: read requirements critically, find gaps and contradictions, and cover them with test cases
โ Self-organized, autonomous, and self-managed; you know what to do next without being told
โ An out-of-the-box thinker who finds bugs quickly through unconventional paths
โ Analytical: you don't just report bugs; you understand the product deeply enough to suggest how to make it better
โ A clear communicator who reports results, estimates work, and keeps the team informed
Nice to Have
โ Experience with PostHog (product analytics, session replays, feature flags)
