What You'll Build & Own

Platform & Infrastructure

• Evolve our WordPress ecosystem, optimize, extend, or architect the path beyond it as needed
• Build and maintain the practitioner directory with intelligent match/search, filtering, booking integrations, and lead routing that actually works at the membership tier level 
• Implement payment systems, subscription management, and membership automation that reduce manual intervention to near-zero

AI-Powered Automation

Who You Are

You build with AI as a first principle, not an afterthought. You use Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar tools daily, not because someone told you to, but because you can't imagine working without them. You've shipped real things with AI agents, not just experimented.

You're a full-stack generalist who leans toward backend and systems. You can wire up a WordPress site, build an API, write a Python script to enrich thousands of records, deploy a Next.js frontend, and configure a CI/CD pipeline, all in the same week. You don't need a team of five to get something live. You lean it, do it yourself and get it done, even with AI agents.

You think in revenue, not just in code. When you look at a practitioner directory with tiered memberships, you see the funnel. You understand that the booking integration isn't a feature request, it's how members justify their $600/year. You ask "what does this unlock for the business?" before "what framework should I use?"

You're comfortable in ambiguity. We're a very resourceful team. Requirements won't always be spec'd out. You'll sometimes get a voice note and a Notion page and need to turn it into a working system. That excites you, not frustrates you.

We move fast, ship often, and expect engineers to leverage AI tooling aggressively to multiply their output. What we're looking for

• Strong full-stack engineer comfortable across the stack (frontend, backend, infra)
• Excitement to learn and use new tools, stacks, etc. (whatever the job requires). This matters more to us than experience in specific tools/stacks.
• Track record of taking ambiguous problems, designing solutions, and shipping them without hand-holding
• Demonstrated experience building or automating things with modern AI tooling - not just using ChatGPT, but actually integrating LLMs and agents into your workflow and your products
• Comfortable working directly with non-technical stakeholders and external clients
• Honest, direct communication

Nice to have

• Fintech, payments, or financial infra experience
• Experience building developer tools or platform APIs
• Background working with early-stage startups or as a founding engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a Backend Developer with strong Node.js/NestJS expertise to build and scale microservices-based systems. The role involves designing high-load services, working with distributed systems, and integrating modern backend patterns including async processing and real-time communication.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Node.js and NestJS
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with asynchronous processing (queues, event-driven systems)
• Ability to write scalable, maintainable, and reliable code
• Experience building REST APIs, WebSockets (WS/WSS), RPC services
• Ability to read and work with existing codebases
• High attention to detail

Nice to have

• Experience with Go / Golang
• Deep knowledge of NestJS (lifecycle, DI, custom providers, dynamic modules, scopes, Async Local Storage, reflector)
• Deep knowledge of Redis (MULTI/EXEC, data structures, Lua scripts, Pub/Sub)
• Basic understanding of prompt engineering, AI agents, skills
