The goal is to find developers who have basic coding skills but are at the beginning of their careers. Recent graduates (or students finishing their final coursework) in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) are appropriate candidates. We are also open to working with developers who have meaningful coding experience but no formal degree in Computer Science or STEM.
Participants are expected to know how to code and to know the basics of web development. Familiarity with Javascript plus any one of PHP, Java, Python, C#, Ruby, Rust, Elixir, or C/C++ is required. We will use git (Gitlab), YouTrack, and xWiki extensively, but will train participants (at a fast pace) on all of these tools. Meaningful participation in open-source projects is a huge plus, but not expected.
Candidates must be proficient English readers and speakers, equivalent to a C1 or higher on the British Council scale. Test certifications are appreciated, but language skills will be verified independently by Academy instructors prior to accepting candidates into the program.THE PROCESS
- Interns will complete a three-month academy followed by a one-month "reading period" during which they must pass certain full-stack certification exams.
Coursework will be partially synchronous, and students will need to be available for lectures or team activities between 12 PM and 4 PM GMT+1 time. (Exact schedule TBD.) Please note this is considered a full-time position. In the prior cohort, we observed that students who were still taking university courses or had a job in addition to the program were less likely to complete the program than those that were able to dedicate more time and energy to the program.
2. After successful completion, they will interview for four-month internship positions on company teams.
3. At the end of the four-month internship, teams may choose to convert their interns into junior developers, with the appropriate salary increase.
This cohortβs focus will be full-stack development using PHP/Laravel for the back-end, Angular for the front-end, and Postgres as the RDBMS. We will also cover theory and practice of coding with agentic AI assistants, since this is fast becoming a must-have skill for developers of all experience levels.

About the Role
Weβre looking for a Lead Character Artist who specializes in semi-realistic, realistic and hyperrealistic human characters β both in game development and cinematic production. Youβll work closely with a senior team to deliver hero-quality characters with precise anatomy, clean topology, and engine-ready output.
This is a hands-on, production-focused role for someone with deep knowledge of the character pipeline β from sculpting and simulation to texturing and final engine integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the character art development process β from sculpting high-resolution models to game-ready assets (retopo, UVs, baking, texturing).
- Supervise and review work produced by the character team to ensure consistency in quality, style, and technical requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Art Director, Rigging, Animation, Tech Art, and Game Design teams to ensure characters are visually compelling and technically sound.
- Translate 2D concepts or photogrammetry scans into 3D characters that are production-ready.
- Establish and maintain pipelines, workflows, naming conventions, and documentation for efficient production and onboarding.
- Ensure optimal asset performance for real-time engines (Unreal Engine / Unity), including LODs, polycount budget, and texture memory usage.
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level artists, providing feedback, training, and guidance when needed.
- Research and implement new tools and techniques to improve character production efficiency and quality.
- Drive outsourcing coordination: giving feedback, performing QA, and ensuring external deliveries match studio standards.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in game development or CGI industry as a character artist.
- 1+ years of experience in a leadership or senior position.
- Strong portfolio showcasing realistic or stylized character art (including anatomy, costuming, and facial expression systems).
- Expert knowledge of industry-standard software: ZBrush, Maya/Blender, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter/Designer, Marmoset/Toolbag, Photoshop, etc.
