ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Technical Application Support Engineer to provide backup coverage for our platform and related audience workflows. This is NOT a primary feature development role. 

The person will act as a technical backup and first responder when the Europe-based team is unavailable, helping India and US teams investigate issues, validate system behavior, check logs, inspect API/database state, and escalate with clear technical context when deeper engineering work is required.

Time Overlap (!): 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM or 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide backup technical support for internal API and related workflows
• Investigate production and staging issues using API responses, logs, metrics, Kafka state, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
• Understand and trace the core system flow related to external platform integrations
• Investigate why entities failed to create/update, synchronize, or retrieve reports correctly
• Troubleshoot platform-specific issues (Facebook/Meta, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Validate common token/auth issues including expired user tokens, missing permissions, and platform account
mapping problems
• Use Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, Graphite, Kafka metrics, and database queries to support investigations
• Follow runbooks for safe operational checks and simple remediation steps
• Document findings clearly and escalate with enough context for engineering teams to act quickly
• Work closely with teams in India, Europe, and the US

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years in application support, production support, technical operations, backend QA, SRE-lite, or similar roles
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP status codes, and backend request flows
• Hands-on experience reading logs and investigating production issues
• Practical experience with MongoDB and SQL/PostgreSQL for read-only investigation
• Basic working knowledge of Kafka or event-driven systems
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based applications at support level
• Ability to use dashboards and observability tools such as Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with clear written communication in English
• Ability to work with distributed teams across India, Europe, and the US

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
◆ Experience supporting Scala, Java, or JVM backend systems
◆ Familiarity with Apache Pekko or Akka HTTP / Streams

◆ Experience with advertising platforms or marketing APIs
◆ Familiarity with OAuth, refresh tokens, access tokens, system users, and platform permissions
◆ Basic understanding of CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes deployments
◆ Experience creating support runbooks and incident summaries

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
After onboarding, this person should be able to:
• Understand the platform request/event flow end-to-end
• Check whether a problem is in API validation, Kafka processing, event handling, MongoDB/PostgreSQL state, external
platform API, or something else
• Identify common platform integration differences
• Answer basic "what happened?" questions without waking up the European owner
• Escalate only when deeper engineering changes or platform-specific decisions are needed
• Maintain useful troubleshooting documentation for repeated issues

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our Product Development Organization. We drive cross-functional alignment, create process efficiencies and deliver large-scale strategic initiatives in a rapidly growing Legal Technology space.

The ideal candidate will join a team of technical project and program managers who focus on driving business-critical initiatives across the product development organization. You will be a strong self-starter and therefore able to drill into business data and technical trade-offs to identify clear direction and focus for your tasks, projects and programs. You know how to continue to move forward in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge.

You will have experience working with multiple partners across an organization and are skilled at building and maintaining relationships. You’ll demonstrate a successful track record leading medium to large projects using agile methodologies. You’ll be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. You show good judgment making trade-offs between immediate and long-term business needs.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Drive end-to-end program planning and execution across multi-disciplinary teams
• Support strategic cross-functional planning, leading discovery and prioritization by closely collaborating with product and engineering leads to develop program plans
• Partner with product and engineering to develop project milestones, track progress, handle cross-team dependencies, resource planning, mitigate risks and run effective communications
• Proactively identify and remove impediments to drive momentum and progress. Identify communication gaps, lead issue resolution and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities
• Work closely with stakeholders and product managers to ensure that requirements are translated to the technology requirements that subsequently drive the execution of software development from design through successful deployment and adoption.
• Collaborate to define the technical architecture of solutions for services and support technical implementation and integration efforts.
• Document project plans for cross-team initiatives and drive on-schedule delivery of results
• Contribute to the definition, development and tracking of product and team metrics and operational improvements
• Drive consistent, high-quality project management practices by creating and maintaining a repository of templates and best practices

• Communicate project risks, progress, launches and retrospectives across all stakeholders and teams – consistently and transparently

   

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in technical project management working directly with software engineering teams
• 5+ years of experience working at a technology company, preferably within a SaaS model
• 3+ years of experience leading software development projects with schedules and deadlines
• Direct experience using iterative or agile methodologies
• Proven track record of successful program delivery and handling complex initiatives across a variety of cross-functional teams
• Must have experience using project planning, road mapping and issue tracking tools - JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, Roadmunk

• BS/BA degree required, preferably in computer science or technical disciplines

   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Scrum Master, Scaled Agilist or PMP Certification
• Experience working cross-functionally with product management, design, engineering, marketing, customer support and operations
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Skilled at dealing with ambiguity in a rapidly growing and changing environment
• Ability to lead without authority to coordinate cross-functional teams towards value delivery
• Experience in a company that has scale or previous work in a large software development organizations

• The role has three interview stages.
• The case study will be the final step for candidates who advance through the first and second interviews.
