As part of the product team, you’ll lead and own the Human Interface Design direction of new features and experiences across 5+ SaaS products. 

From early concept explorations to high-fidelity execution, you’ll work closely with the engineering teams and the current designer to turn complex technical concepts into clear, meaningful interactions with high precision in the details. Attention to detail is mandatory for this role, as your decisions will directly influence Ukraine's national defence. 

What You Will Do

• Create sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs that bring clarity to the product experience.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to create simple, intuitive, human-centered products that help users save time and defend our country in a more effective way.
• Defend your ideas before the engineering and management teams to create the best possible solution, setting the standard in the market.
• Quickly translate complex requirements and technical data into clear and engaging interfaces.
• Contribute to a well-thought design system that helps the engineering team create or change interfaces quickly without avoidable mistakes.
• Create presentations to showcase our current and future products, individual features, unique capabilities, and plans for clients and end users.
   

What You Need to Join Us

• 4+ years of work experience with a focus on product design and UI across various domains. 
• An eye for visual detail in proportion, type, motion, and interaction.
• Experience shipping digital products from start to finish, including documentation and presentation of the developed work.
• Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through prototypes, sketches, high-fidelity comps, and presentations.
• Demonstrated creative and innovative problem-solving and a willingness to take the lead where needed.

MenuWise is a long-running B2B SaaS platform used by professional kitchens and foodservice operators. We are rebuilding the product with a strong focus on correctness, governance, and long-term system integrity.

This is not a brand, marketing, or consumer UX role.

MenuWise is a New Zealand–based product that has historically grown through direct operator relationships rather than public marketing or social media. We are rebuilding the platform quietly and deliberately before increasing our public presence. This role is about shaping the system itself, not promoting it.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a senior product designer who is comfortable working on:

• dense, data-heavy interfaces
• constrained workflows
• enterprise tables and forms

• products where being correct matters more than being expressive

   

Scope & mandate

This is a full-time role with an initial 3-month systems mandate.

During the first 3 months, your focus will be to:

• define and enforce core design rules
• establish what must never vary
• set canonical interaction patterns (view / edit / read-only)
• bring consistency and safety to complex workflows

Long-term continuation depends on fit and impact.

What you will do

• Own system and interaction rules across core product surfaces
• Design and document canonical patterns for:
  • tables
  • inline editing
  • validation and error handling
  • state transitions
• Say “no” when designs violate correctness or long-term consistency
• Work closely with engineering on predictable, safe UX
• Leave the system more constrained and safer than you found it

What you will not do

• Brand or marketing design
• Visual experimentation or expressive UI
• Colour or typography definition (handled separately)

If you enjoy aesthetic exploration or storytelling-led design, this role will not be satisfying.

Why this role is difficult

MenuWise is intentionally designed to be constrained.
Success here depends on restraint, systems thinking, and comfort with saying “no”.

If you prefer expressive palettes, visual exploration, or marketing-led UX, this role will feel frustrating rather than rewarding.

What we’re looking for (experience)

You likely have:

• 7–12+ years designing SaaS or internal tools
• experience with enterprise, fintech, ERP, govtech, or regulated systems
• strong opinions about constraints, invariants, and correctness
• comfort blocking ideas that feel “nice” but are unsafe

• experience designing tables and workflows, not just screens

— Системний розвиток дизайн-системи: створення масштабованих компонентів на основі Atomic Design та робота з дизайн-токенами.

— Повний цикл дизайну: самостійне проходження шляху від дослідження проблеми до фінального UI та супроводу розробки.

— Data & Research: проведення інтерв’ю та тестів, робота з метриками та обґрунтування рішень через цифри.

— Технічна синхронізація: конструктивне спілкування з розробниками на основі розуміння того, як дизайн втілюється в коді.

— Базове розуміння аналітики (Amplitude, Google Analytics etc);
