Role Mission
You will be responsible for testing a photo-editing desktop application powered by advanced image processing solutions and artificial intelligence models based on neural network algorithms.
In addition, this role may occasionally involve testing related mobile and web services components.
Your mission is to ensure product quality across all stages β from initial data science prototypes to core image processing functions and full-featured desktop interfaces (for both macOS and Windows platforms).
Responsibilities
- Perform complex exploratory testing of AI-driven photo-editing features and neural networkβbased models.
- Analyze and validate core image processing engine performance, algorithms, and their integration within the application.
- Conduct functional and integration testing of the desktop photo-editing interface.
- Develop, maintain, and improve test documentation, including test cases, checklists, and reports.

You will be a part of the Data Science team, which produces the search index for all the websiteβs images (content). We use Computer Vision and NLP models to retrieve names, dates, and relationships from various sources, such as Censuses, Birth Certificates, and Newspaper Articles.
One of the teams delivers their models to our team as Python packages through a Model Repository. We create and operate data pipelines in AWS, using Terraform and Python to retrieve images, process them through models, and return the extracted data as JSON messages. Our typical projects process millions of images per day. We focus on throughput, cost, and error handling.
After gaining new knowledge, you will be responsible for learning our deployment pattern and taking ownership of creating and operating several new pipelines.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and optimize scalable back-end services and APIs using Python

- Conference-first sourcing. Build a conference plan, run pre-event outreach, deploy for in-person meetings, and convert contacts into multi-stage pipeline entries.
- Build real relationships. Contact with multiple stakeholders inside target organizations; Map decision-makers and influencers, and build strong long-term relationships.
- Opportunity discovery. Qualify leads against business criteria (budget, timeline, decision-making process, technical fit). Keep CRM records precise and up to date.
- Translate our value into strategy. Work with Marketing and Sales to create tailored one-pagers, briefs, and demos that show strategic value for clients.
- Cross-functional handoff & processing. You will pass qualified leads to Sales and tech teams for scoping and execution. - Expect a long sales cycle (~1β3 months from prospect to lead; ~ up to 6 months from lead to client).
