    Who We Are:
Adaptiq is a technology hub specializing in building, scaling, and supporting R&D teams for high-end, fast-growing product companies in a wide range of industries.

    About the Product:
This is a hyper-scale fintech platform trusted by over 40 million users worldwide, offering access to multi-asset trading – including stocks, indices, currencies, and digital assets.

The product operates as a regulated, data-intensive financial ecosystem, processing massive volumes of transactions and real-time customer interactions daily. It’s well-funded, profitable, and known for pushing innovation in AI, automation, and data governance across its operations. Advertising presence is strong (especially in the UK), but behind the scenes is a serious engineering culture solving hard, real-world problems at scale.

    About the Role:
This is a hybrid role where you’ll act as both the architect for complex BizOps initiatives and the leader of the integration engineering team, guiding the implementation of your blueprints and driving hands-on decisions with internal platforms.

You’ll report directly to the Director of BizOps, shaping architecture for AI-first automation, overseeing API and integration patterns, and ensuring alignment across cross-functional domains like security, IT, compliance, trading, and customer support.

This isn’t about maintaining legacy systems. You’ll design new architectures from scratch, define standards, challenge assumptions, and build a reusable platform of services that internal teams can scale on.

Every initiative touches multiple business domains – from R&D to Data to Security. You won’t be siloed into one stack, tool, or domain. You’ll be trusted to make end-to-end architectural calls, balance technical elegance with delivery, and operate as a multiplier across the company.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Architecture & Design

    • Own the technical architecture of internal BizOps platforms – spanning applications, integrations, and automation systems.
    • Design scalable, modular solutions that serve diverse business domains (compliance, support, trading, finance).
    • Define and evolve the company’s AI architecture: from RAG pipelines and agent orchestration to latency, security, and performance design.
    • Build reusable frameworks for APIs, data pipelines, and internal automation – with strong observability and operational hygiene.
    • Ensure every design balances delivery speed with long-term scalability and cost-efficiency.

    Leadership & Collaboration

    • Lead a compact, senior Integration Engineering team – set direction, review architecture, and guide delivery.
    • Provide architectural guidance across BizOps squads; coach developers and unblock projects.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with BAs, solution architects, data teams, R&D, and security to align architecture with business needs.

    Integration & Data Ownership

    • Own architecture and delivery of integrations – internal tools, external APIs, CRM, data lake, and BI pipeline.
    • Design integration patterns (event-based, ETL, real-time) that serve business-critical workflows.
    • Drive automation and orchestration across teams using data-driven and AI-enhanced designs.

    Governance & Continuous Improvement

    • Define development standards and architecture review processes across BizOps engineering.
    • Ensure security, compliance, and reliability across systems and integrations.
    • Bring in new tools, frameworks, or platforms when they accelerate the team’s ability to deliver smarter and faster.

    Required Competence and Skills:

    • Have 7+ years of technical architecture or engineering leadership across multiple domains.
    • Have built internal-facing platforms with integration-heavy environments – CRM, ETLs, APIs, service orchestration.
    • Have hands-on experience with AI/LLM tooling – including prompt engineering, RAG, caching strategies, and orchestration.
    • Understand how to scale systems used by hundreds or thousands of internal stakeholders.
    • Are pragmatic: you can architect in the real world, not just draw boxes and arrows.
    • Can guide senior developers through architectural choices, reviews, and delivery roadmaps.
    • Can collaborate deeply with business, security, data, and ops teams.

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with enterprise platforms (e.g. Salesforce, MuleSoft, Databricks, Azure, or similar).
    • Designing or consuming internal developer platforms or AI agent frameworks.
    • Familiarity with regulated environments (fintech, healthcare, compliance tooling).
    • Fluency in build-vs-buy thinking – including working with third-party services.

    The role

We’re building a small, high-signal engineering team to take ownership of a large, mission-critical public safety / mobility platform currently operated by an external vendor.

The work is very β€œreal world”:

    • Parts of the system are legacy (ASP.NET Framework 4.8, WCF).

    • Some services are already on .NET 8 (LTS).

    • Releases are still partly manual today (controlled approvals).

    • We’re moving toward automated CI/CD, clearer ownership, and a clean .NET 8 future state.

We’re also transitioning to a CIS-based team. That means the documentation you’ll inherit is… mixed. Some areas are well described, others are β€œtribal knowledge.” If you’re the kind of architect who can walk into a complex estate, make it understandable, and steadily modernize without breaking productionβ€”this is for you.

    What you’ll actually do

    • Figure out what’s really running: map the architecture as-is (components, integrations, environments, deployment paths). Create diagrams and docs the team will keep using.

    • Own the modernization plan: design a phased path from 4.8/WCF toward .NET 8, with clear sequencing and risk control.

    • Make the takeover safe: define boundaries, repo strategy, access model, and handover steps so ownership moves from vendor β†’ internal cleanly.

    • Build a secure delivery model: work within strict security and gated releases (Zero Trust principles, IAM/RBAC, auditability) with mandatory SAST scanning before release.

    • Push CI/CD forward: partner with DevOps/Ops to replace manual deployment habits with auditable pipelines (approval gates, artifact integrity, rollbacks, zero-downtime where practical).

    • Set engineering standards: API contracts, coding standards, ADRsβ€”so the new team operates consistently from day one.

    What we’re looking for

    • 10+ years engineering experience, with 3+ years in an architecture leadership role.

    • Strong, hands-on knowledge across both:

      • ASP.NET Framework 4.8 + WCF

      • .NET 8 (LTS) and modern service patterns

    • Solid Azure architecture experience.

    • Strong DB knowledge: SQL Server + MySQL.

    • Comfortable working in environments where security and release governance are non-negotiable.

    Nice to have

    • Working knowledge of React/Angular ecosystems (enough to design BFF and integration approaches).

    • Experience with Python or mobile integrations.

    • Prior β€œvendor takeover” / modernization experience.

    A quick honesty section

    • You will see legacy code and uneven documentation.

    • You will also have real influence: the goal is to leave this platform cleaner, safer, and easier to operate every month.

Apply with: a short note on the largest system you’ve modernized (what it was, what you changed, how you managed risk).

US Company is searching for a SaaS Platform Architect. Interesting project, distributed team, full-time, an official contract. Remote work, CET business hours.

    Brief project description:

    • The product is a complex platform with applications realized like SaaS, which perform multiple functions for improving Safety, Sustainability and Productivity (works planning / incident management / monitoring & analytics) on high-risky industries: oil & gas gathering and transportation, chemical, building, energy market.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Architect and build a secure, scalable multi-tenant SaaS platform on Azure.
    • Make pragmatic architecture calls (monolith vs microservices) based on constraints, maturity, and outcomes.
    • Implement resilient services : horizontal scaling, async processing, caching.
    • Build for production from day one: observability, reliability, cost control, and operational excellence.
    • Raise the engineering bar through pairing, code reviews, and clear technical direction.

    Must-Have Requirements:

    Mindset (Key traits):

    • High Agency: You embrace ambiguity, drive decisions, and take extreme ownership of outcomes.
    • Continuous Learner: You stay current with new technologies and patterns (including new AI/GenAI related technologies ). You tinker with new tech on weekends because you love it.
    • Pragmatic: You balance "boring technology" stability with modern AI-driven innovation.

    Cloud & Platform (Azure)

    • Deep, hands-on Azure experience: Azure Container Apps, App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Azure SQL/Postgres, Front Door
    • Designing and building multi-tenant SaaS architectures (you've shipped, not just designed)
    • Scalability patterns: horizontal scaling, async processing, caching, sharding
    • Microservices, event-driven systems, and knowing when a monolith is actually the right call

    Hands-On Technical Skills

    • You code: Proficient in at least one of C#/.NET, Java, Python, or TypeScript
    • Modern Auth/Authz: You've designed and implemented modern authentication/authorization using the OpenID Connect Protocol and OAuth2.
    • Cloud Security: You are familiar with common attack vectors to web applications (OWASP top 10), and know how to design software that is secure by default.

    Communication & Collaboration

    • Great Communicator: You can explain complex AI/Cloud concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
    • Flexible & Adaptable: You hold "strong opinions, loosely held." You adapt quickly when requirements or technology shifts.
    • Mentorship: You elevate the team's bar through code reviews, pairing, and design discussions, not just edicts.

    Considered as a BIG plus:

    • Databricks: Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Workflows, Databricks SQL
    • Deep integration of Azure OpenAI / LLMs into production workflows
    • Advanced RAG patterns
