The Machine Learning Engineer is responsible for deploying and maintaining the algorithms developed by data scientists. This role will be part of the Optimize Data Science team (3 FTEs plus seconded team of 5 FTEs)

While Data Scientists focus on research and model development, the ML Engineer is responsible for the technical infrastructure, scaling, performance optimization, and maintenance of the models. Requirements: 

• Requires 4 or more years of related experience, maintenance, and administration of PostgreSQL databases.   
• Previous SQL Server and/or Oracle database administration experience is a plus.  
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:  

• The DBA should have knowledge of some industry standard PostgreSQL databases including creation and implementation of fully functional PostgreSQL database clusters (both in the cloud AWS RDS and on-premises), ability to maintain multiple development, QA, and production PostgreSQL environments with experience in performance tuning.  
• Review existing configurations and installations and provide design decisions for improvements to platform environments.  
• Assist in planning and performing PostgreSQL database upgrades and migrations.  
• Perform production level support and be part of the on call rotation when required.  
• This position will be responsible for supporting new and existing PostgreSQL database systems, both internally and future Cloud managed instances and will contribute in defining best practices in database administration, and introduce innovation with automation.  
• Proficient with the Linux operating systems - Ubuntu, RHEL.  
• Assist in implementing long-term strategic goals for database development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.

About the Role
As a Senior Manual QA Engineer, you will own end-to-end quality for both new features and core platform functionality.

You will:

• translate product requirements into test strategies
• design and maintain test documentation
• execute testing across web, mobile, and API layers
• drive regression cycles and improve QA processes

Key Responsibilities

• Test UI/UX and backend functionality across web and mobile platforms
• Analyze requirements and define test coverage
• Design, document, and maintain test plans and test cases
• Manage QA documentation (STD, STP, STR)
• Execute regression and sanity testing cycles
• Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools
• Use browser DevTools and logs to debug issues

This is not a UI role, but you should be able to think deeply about product logic.
