• Define and maintain test strategies for mobile applications

• Lead defect analysis, prioritization, and triage discussions

• Assess and improve existing QA processes and workflows

We are looking for a Test Automation Lead (Mobile) with a strong consulting and analytical mindset to assess, design, and drive mobile QA and automation transformation across iOS and Android platforms for a project from Germany.

The product is an online platform for ordering food and goods.

It provides a complete online delivery cycle – from order placement to customer receipt. Users can quickly order food, groceries, or other goods through web or mobile applications, track delivery in real time, and pay online. Restaurants and stores receive convenient tools for managing orders, tracking performance metrics, and attracting customers, while couriers get an optimized route system and navigation for fast delivery.

The company has been on the market since 2011. This is a new client for us. We are expanding the team and on our side are looking for a Lead AQA and 6 QA Engineers.

This role goes beyond hands-on automation. You will work closely with stakeholders to analyze existing QA processes, audit automation readiness, define optimal testing strategies, and build pragmatic roadmaps that balance manual and automated testing. The role combines technical expertise, quality leadership, and consulting skills to ensure sustainable automation adoption and positive ROI.

Required Skills and Experience

Must Have

• 5+ years of professional experience
• Strong experience in mobile test automation for iOS and Android
• Hands-on expertise with Appium or similar mobile testing tool (architecture, best practices, limitations)
• Experience in doing API and UI End2End testing
• Experience working with real mobile devices, emulators, and simulators
• Solid programming skills in Java (TBD - to be clarified, Java is the closest for the existing stack: Kotlin and Swift) or any object-oriented language
• Experience leading or owning test automation initiatives
• Understanding of mobile application architecture and lifecycle
• Experience in QA process audits
• Experience in onboarding new teams/projects
• Experience working with one of the Test Management Systems (Jira, TestRail or similar)
• Experience of using source control systems(GIT)
• Consulting capability to analyze existing customer processes and workflows
• Ability to identify automation opportunities and define feasibility
• Experience in creating a clear automation strategy and implementation roadmap
• Capability to design a transition plan from manual processes to automated solutions

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Test Automation Leadership

  We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient QA Automation Engineer to join our dedicated testing team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful and high-quality delivery of software products for our client, a prominent American multinational automaker.

• Responsibilities:

  Design, develop, and execute robust automated test scenarios on a daily basis, utilizing Python as the primary scripting language.
  Framework Management: Actively contribute to a new and maintain the existing automation frameworks
  Ensure comprehensive test coverage by writing detailed test scenarios
  Engage in specialized testing of automotive systems, including validation of in-vehicle components
  Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners within the Scrum framework, actively participating in sprint planning and daily stand-ups.

   

• Mandatory Skills Description:

  Prior work with embedded or automotive systems, especially in the context of multi-ECU scenarios.
  Proven experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Python code for automated testing.
  Thoroughly analyze logs, and quickly resolve issues within automated testing pipelines.
  Proficient in using Visual Studio Code (VSCode) with relevant extensions (Python, Cucumber, Copilot).
  Experience managing Python virtual environments and dependencies.
  Proficient with Git for version control and JFrog Artifactory for artifact management in a collaborative, automated test environment.
  Ability to read and follow technical documentation in English.
  Strong communication skills for collaboration with developers, testers.
  Exposure to automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
