What makes you a fit
 

• 3–7+ years in applied ML/ML-platforms, data-heavy backend, or agentic LLM systems (we care more about proof of shipping than years).

What You’ll Do

As the Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll be helping shape the architecture (in close collaboration with the Technical Lead, DevOps and hands-on CTO) and building the platform from the ground up.

You’ll be responsible for implementing microservices, building integrations, and managing backend logic that powers our GraphQL API and integrations with third-party platforms. 

We’re not looking for someone to just “ship tasks”. We want someone who questions requirements, brings better ideas, and treats the backend like their product.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of overall software engineering experience and TypeScript
• 4+ years working with Node.js + NestJS
• Strong expertise with gRPC and microservice architecture patterns
• Solid experience with AWS core services and Docker-based containerisation
• Solid experience designing and managing GraphQL schemas
• Proficiency with OAuth2, session management, and secure API design
• Experience with AWS
• Understanding of web security threats and mitigation strategies (XSS, CSRF, SSRF, JWT handling, cookie protection, etc)
• Understanding service boundaries, data contracts, and owning production systems end-to-end 

Great Bonus

• Experience with CRM integrations like Salesforce, ConnectWise, Kaseya
• Experience working with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC2, or GDPR
• Experience developing in Python or Go when needed

About the Customer:

An established U.S. company specializing in industrial and manufacturing documentation, 3D modeling, and data exchange tools, part of a larger corporate group with 40+ business units.
Their core platform leverages TS3D HOOPS Exchange and Visualizer for CAD data reading, translation, and rendering.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain 3D exchange and visualization components integrated into client's software.
• Implement data import/export and conversion between native CAD formats.
• Collaborate with client's internal engineers and technical leads 
• Optimize existing pipelines for performance and compatibility across different CAD sources.
• Work with multiple 3D APIs (TS3D, Kubotek Kosmos, or equivalent).

Requirements:

This role will operate within the Digital Health Applications & Interoperability subgroup of the broader Digital Health team, focused on patient engagement, care coordination, AI, healthcare analytics & interoperability amongst other advanced technologies which enhance our product portfolio with new services, while improving clinical & patient experiences.
