    We are looking for an experienced Head of Database Administration (DBA) to lead and scale our database team. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on expertise, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance across a diverse database ecosystem.

     

    Tech Stack

    • Relational Databases: MySQL, Percona XtraDB Cluster, Amazon RDS, Aurora
    • Analytics & Streaming: ClickHouse, CDC data streaming (Debezium)
    • NoSQL: MongoDB
    • Infrastructure: Databases hosted in the cloud, on-premises, and in Kubernetes environments

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage a growing DBA team (currently 5 members, with active hiring ongoing).
    • Oversee performance, availability, backup, and disaster recovery for more than 100 database servers, including several high-load systems.
    • Collaborate closely with development teams, solution architects, and data analysts to ensure database reliability and efficiency.
    • Drive adoption of modern practices for database management, migrations, automation, and process standardization.
    • Evaluate, implement, and optimize new technologies and solutions to meet evolving business needs.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience managing large-scale, high-availability database infrastructures.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
