Role

This is not a backend-only role. • Strong understanding of functional, regression & non-functional testing (performance, usability, memory usage)
• Experience with mobile-specific testing scenarios (app lifecycle, background/foreground, interruptions, network conditions, permissions)
• Strong experience in UI/UX testing & cross-device / cross-OS behaviour validation
• Understanding of media app specifics: photo/video processing, rendering, performance across devices
• Experience with subscription monetization testing: in-app purchases, trial periods, purchase restoration, offline purchase flows
• Solid experience in writing test cases, bug reports, test plans, test strategies, and maintaining test documentation
• Understanding of App Store and Google Play release lifecycle and distribution (e.g. TestFlight, Firebase App Distribution)
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and network debugging strategies
• Experience with bug tracking systems & collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Notion, Slack)
• Experience with analytics & subscription management tools: Amplitude (or similar), Firebase Remote Config, Adapty (or similar)
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking & communication skills
• Ability to build a testing process from scratch independently

Unifight Finance is a fintech company operating in the payments / merchant acquiring space.

We are building a regulated payments infrastructure in the UK — and key functions, including compliance, are being designed from scratch (not maintaining legacy systems).

We are looking for someone who doesn’t “maintain compliance” — but builds it properly from the ground up.

You will be:

• the owner of the regulatory compliance function
• the internal auditor who actually challenges the business
• the person who can say “this is a risk” — and fix it

What you’ll be doing

• Build and own the Safeguarding Framework (PSR 2017)
• Run real internal audits across Finance and Operations
• Ensure safeguarding accuracy (reconciliation, segregation, deadlines)
• Own the breach register and investigate root causes
• Manage regulatory reporting to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA Connect / RegData)
• Translate regulatory changes into real business processes
• Prepare board-level reporting (Compliance MI packs)
• Own Consumer Duty and conduct risk
• Ensure compliance with Visa / Mastercard frameworks (GARS / BRAM)

Who we’re looking for

• 5+ years in payments (EMI / PI / acquiring)
• Strong, hands-on knowledge of PSR 2017 and safeguarding
• Solid understanding of settlement cycles (T+1 / T+2)
• Experience submitting FCA reports
• Ability to identify issues — and actually resolve them
