Database Developer (offline)

Primary responsibilities
• New feature implementation, refactoring, bug fixing under supervision
• Collaboration with scrum team to design, develop and deliver software that creates business value
• Identification of existing database schema problems and implementation of the relevant solutions
• Support and improve existing Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure
• Configure Microsoft Azure monitoring and alerts for cloud resource availability
• Evaluate and develop improvements in operations, procedures, policies, and methods
• Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues
• Learning about client infrastructure updates/upgrades and planed or implemented new technologies
• Identification of problems related to consistency, redundancy, performance
• Provide improvement plan, data migration schedule

REQUIREMENTS
Technical skills
• Strong knowledge of SQL, stored procedures (T-SQL, PL/SQL)
• Solid understanding of database data and schema modeling
• Understanding approaches for OLTP and OLAP models
• Understanding ETL approaches
• Experience in working with MS SQL database or related databases (such as Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL)
• Experience in performance optimization, blocking, waits, etc
• Experience in version control system usage (Git or similar)
• Experience in working with Azure cloud products
• Basic understanding of Agile principles
• Experience in working with task tracker (Jira or similar)
• 5+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server or related databases (such as Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL). Experience with Azure SQL Server is a plus
• 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Power BI or related analytics tool (such as Tableau, QlikView, Oracle BI, IBM Cognos)
• experience as Database Administrator is a plus
• Personal qualities: To be initiative to drive the direction, ability to stay on top of a problem until it is resolved and fixed
• BS/BA in computer science, information systems, or related field
