Media Buyer Assistant
ROIcamp is a media buying team that works exclusively with the dating vertical. The parent company has been building and monetizing dating products since 2011; the team is 40+ people and fully remote. We buy traffic on Meta, Google, TikTok, push and native placements, and we measure ourselves on paying users rather than on leads.
About the role
Our buying track has three steps: a farmer prepares advertising accounts, an assistant works inside them, and a buyer owns the budget. You join at the second step. You learn on live campaigns with real spend rather than on simulators or course exercises.
You are paired with one specific media buyer, the person who plans advertising campaigns and manages their budget, you see their decisions every day, and you gradually take over harder parts of the work. ROIcamp has been running dating traffic since 2011, so the feedback you get at daily syncs comes from in-house practice rather than from public guides. You report to the Meta team lead.
What you'll do
- Duplicate and launch campaigns from the buyer's brief, following the given structure, bids, and targeting, and asking questions until you understand why each setting is there.
- Monitor campaign statuses and moderation, so that a rejected creative, meaning an advertising image or video together with its copy, is caught while the buyer is busy elsewhere.
- Prepare daily account reports covering spend, conversions along the click, registration, subscription, and rebill funnel, and any anomalies. A rebill is the repeat automatic payment from a user who subscribed earlier.
- Run creative rotation: upload new assets, replace the ones that have stopped performing, and send requests to the creative team.
- Keep the infrastructure in order by receiving accounts from the farming team and watching payment methods and access.
- Review each week with your buyer and work through why one campaign is profitable and another is not.
Requirements
- A basic grasp of Meta Ads, whether from your own tests, a course, or adjacent work in social or search advertising. Screening checks understanding, not certificates.
- Precision, because a single mistake when duplicating a campaign sends budget in the wrong direction.
- Speed of reaction: a rejection at 9 a.m. cannot wait until lunch.
- The intention to grow into a buyer, which is exactly what this role exists for.
Nice to have
- Experience in account farming, meaning the preparation and warming up of advertising accounts, or familiarity with anti-detect browsers, which are tools that keep each account's digital fingerprint separate.
- Google Sheets at the level of pivot tables.
- English sufficient for reading interfaces and help documentation.
What we offer
- A mentor whose own KPIs include your growth, so teaching you is part of their job rather than a favor.
- Access to live campaigns from the first week instead of months of theory beforehand.
- Transparent promotion criteria in the form of a skills checklist.
- Daily syncs and campaign reviews with your buyer and the team lead, with tasks that get harder step by step.
- Fully remote work, with payouts on a fixed date.
Growth path
Typically after 4โ6 months you launch your first campaigns of your own under the team lead's supervision, move up to junior buyer, and receive your first profit share under the open formula Bonus = % ร (revenue โ spend โ consumables).
Compensation
$400โ700 base. Payouts on a fixed date. On promotion to junior buyer, a higher base plus a share of profit.
Hiring process
A 30-minute screening call, then a practical task in a test advertising account, then a call with the team lead, then an offer. The whole process takes up to 5 business days.
