Team Lead Media Buying (Meta)
ROIcamp is a media buying team that works exclusively with the dating vertical. The parent company has been building and monetizing dating products since 2011; the team is 40+ people and fully remote. We buy traffic on Meta, Google, TikTok, push and native placements, and we measure ourselves on paying users rather than on leads.
About the role
Running campaigns profitably and making other people profitable are two different jobs, and this role is the second one. You will assemble ROIcamp's first Meta team of 3โ5 buyers and turn a group of individuals into a system whose results do not depend on one star performer.
Dating is not an experiment for us: the company has worked in the vertical since 2011, and roughly 70% of dating traffic comes from Meta. Farming (the team that registers and warms up ad accounts), creative and analytics are separate departments that work for your team. You report to the Head of Media Buying and review the numbers together monthly.
What you'll do
- Hire the team with the Head of Media Buying: you run the final technical interviews and hold veto power over every buyer.
- Own the team's campaign portfolio: test priorities, stop-or-scale decisions, consumables control inside the bonus formula.
- Keep a steady rhythm: daily 15-minute syncs, weekly numbers reviews with each buyer, and a monthly cut for the Head.
- Keep the hypothesis, brief and creative loop within 24โ48 hours, and escalate blockers when it slips.
- Work with farming under an SLA covering account requests, priorities between buyers and reserves for ban waves.
- Guard traffic quality with the analyst across the click โ registration โ activation โ subscription โ rebill funnel (rebill is the recurring charge on a renewed subscription), measured per buyer, not per team.
- Develop people: our farmer-to-buyer track is live, and you will train part of your team yourself.
- Run your own campaigns if you choose to; personal profit is bonused separately from team profit.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Meta buying, including 1+ year in a team lead role.
- Personal profit at $50k+/month in spend, supported by cases we can review in detail.
- Dating experience: SOI/DOI/PPS funnels, converting registrations into paying users, rebill economics.
- Full command of the Meta toolkit: agency accounts, self-regs (self-registered ad accounts), Business Managers, anti-detect browsers, trackers and prelanders (intermediate pages shown before the offer).
- Teaching ability: you can debrief a campaign so the buyer runs the next one better without you.
- Honesty with numbers: your team sees the same data their bonus is calculated from.
Nice to have
- Experience building a team from zero, or from one or two people.
- Tier-1 GEOs (US, CA, Western Europe) specifically in dating.
- Experience working with a dedicated farming department rather than self-farming accounts.
What we offer
- A team you hire rather than inherit, since you co-hire every buyer on it.
- Infrastructure covered by the company: accounts from farming, creatives in 24โ48 hours, and all consumables.
- Two sources of upside: a percentage of personal profit plus a percentage of team profit.
- Direct access to the Head and real influence over the processes of a department still taking shape.
- Fully remote work on a B2B or gig contract, with payouts on a fixed date.
Growth path
The first team will not be the last: as the department grows, new Meta teams and new sources are added. The next step is heading a channel with several team leads reporting to you, or building a new source such as Google or TikTok from zero.
Compensation
$2,500โ4,000 base plus a percentage of your personal profit and a percentage of team profit. Profit follows the formula: % ร (revenue โ spend โ consumables). The split between the personal and team components is fixed in the contract before you start, and payouts are made on a fixed date every month.
Hiring process
A 30-minute screening call, an interview with the Head of Media Buying, and a numbers-based management case review covering how you developed buyers and made stop-or-scale calls, followed by an offer. The full cycle takes up to 10 business days.
