GLIG โ Chief Editor for Gulf Longevity Media Component
About the Role
The Gulf Longevity Intelligence Group is being developed as a specialized Gulf-focused intelligence, media and stakeholder platform around Longevity, HealthTech, healthcare innovation, investment and ecosystem development.
Deep Knowledge Group is seeking a bilingual Chief Editor to turn GLIG's underlying analytics, databases, expert network and strategic activity into a continuous stream of authoritative Gulf-focused intelligence and media outputs.
This is substantially more than a content-marketing role.
Core Mandate
Make GLIG a source that senior regional stakeholders actually watch.
The editorial programme should connect:
data + research + expert insight + regional developments + rankings + interviews + strategic commentary + media distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the English- and Arabic-language editorial agenda.
- Establish a dependable weekly publication cadence.
- Develop recurring intelligence publications, rankings, trackers and thematic features.
- Lead editorial development around the Gulf Longevity and HealthTech ecosystem.
- Coordinate the planned Gulf Longevity Competitiveness and related flagship intelligence outputs.
- Convert GLIG datasets and analytical findings into readable, authoritative publications.
- Identify important regional developments before they become generic international stories.
- Commission and conduct interviews with investors, executives, healthcare leaders, scientists, government stakeholders and ecosystem builders.
- Build a contributor and expert network across the Gulf.
- Develop newsletters, articles, executive briefs, interviews and other editorial formats.
- Coordinate with analysts so editorial claims remain supported by underlying data.
- Coordinate with MarTech and media outreach to maximize reach among relevant audiences.
- Maintain publication calendars and editorial workflows.
- Protect GLIG from exaggerated health claims or weak sourcing.
- Use AI for research, monitoring and drafting support while maintaining rigorous editorial review.
The current GLIG operating plan envisages recurring publications, rankings and trackers, government/industry/capital engagement, media and press activity and eventual subscription/membership infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years in journalism, editorial leadership, research publications, intelligence media or comparable work.
- Excellent professional English and Arabic.
- Strong editorial judgment.
- Ability to turn technical, scientific, financial and policy material into clear executive communication.
- Strong research and fact-checking discipline.
- Experience coordinating contributors and external experts.
- Strong understanding of Gulf news, institutions and business environment.
- Ability to run a recurring editorial operation independently.
Strong Advantages
- Gulf healthcare, investment, technology or policy journalism.
- Existing GCC media and stakeholder network.
- Experience with rankings, indices or data journalism.
- Longevity, HealthTech or DeepTech exposure.
- Experience building a publication or media product rather than only writing individual articles.
What Success Looks Like
GLIG should become progressively more authoritative, timely and difficult to ignore within the Gulf Longevity ecosystem, with a regular output cadence and growing engagement from the institutions and people that matter.
