Marketing Operations Manager

$$$

We are hiring on behalf of our client โ€“ an American media company. They run a large newsletter operation sending millions of emails a day to cold audiences across finance, health, self-development, and astrology. As the team scales, execution is starting to outpace process โ€“ this role exists to fix that.

Marketing Operations Manager sits between strategy and execution. You take initiatives across newsletters, paid media, social, and growth from brief to done โ€” owning timelines, owners, and dependencies across parallel workstreams.

You work closely with the email team on newsletter growth and engagement, and you're the first review layer on quality before anything ships. You build the trackers, cadences, and SOPs that keep the team moving without you having to chase people.

This is not a people-management role on day one โ€“ it's a coordination and execution role that's built to grow into team leadership as the marketing function scales. Success looks like: initiatives hit their deadlines, and newsletter performance keeps moving up.

What you will own

  • End-to-end execution of marketing initiatives across newsletters, paid, social, and growth
  • Newsletter performance tracking and early flagging of issues, in partnership with the email team
  • Trackers, cadences, and SOPs for the whole team
  • First-pass quality review before work moves forward
  • Team check-ins and problem-solving reviews
  • AI tooling adoption across the team

Must-have

  • 5+ years in project management, running marketing initiatives specifically
  • Real marketing fluency โ€“ newsletters, paid, social, growth, not just PM theory
  • Track record managing several marketing workstreams at once without quality slipping
  • Experience building and rolling out PM processes and SOPs for a team
  • Daily hands-on AI tool use โ€“ you can describe exactly how, this is a hard requirement
  • Strong root-cause problem-solving and structured communication
  • Ownership mindset โ€“ you unblock things yourself, no hand-holding
  • C1+ written and spoken English
  • Ready to grow into a leadership role as the team scales

Nice to have

  • Background in newsletter, media, affiliate, or performance marketing
  • Hands-on campaign experience, not just managing people who ran campaigns
  • Make, Zapier, or similar automation tools
  • Notion, ClickUp, Asana, or Airtable
  • Experience with email platforms or audience growth metrics
  • Experience working with designers, writers, or QA teams

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive salary + bonuses
  • 21 paid vacation days, 14 paid sick days
  • Remote-first team
  • Corporate library, team activities
