About the engagement
We are looking for someone to take ownership of our online marketing — first for our paid campaigns, then step by step for our wider inbound marketing across both the DACH region and the US market.
We deliberately start with a clearly scoped three-month phase so both sides can see how the collaboration works. Our intention, however, is not a one-off project: we want someone who stays with us, knows our accounts and our positioning, and grows into the role of our long-term marketing partner as the scope and budget expand.
This is a hands-on role, not strategy-only. You will work directly in our analytics, tag management and ad accounts, fix what is not working, and build a clean, measurable setup we can keep running. You will report directly to management and work independently with minimal supervision. We value clear documentation and short, concrete status updates over long meetings.

Your responsibilities
Phase 1 — the first three months
1. Analytics integration and optimization

• Audit our current analytics setup (GA4, Google Search Console, website data layer) and document gaps.
• Implement or repair event and conversion tracking across our websites and landing pages.
• Ensure a clean, consistent data layer and reliable attribution across markets.
• Set up dashboards and reports that make performance readable for management.

2. Paid search management and Google Tag Manager optimization

• Manage, restructure and optimize our Google Ads accounts (campaigns, ad groups, keywords, negatives, bidding).
• Set up and run Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) campaigns — particularly relevant for B2B decision-makers in the US market.
• Clean up and restructure our Google Tag Manager container: tags, triggers, variables, naming conventions.
• Implement conversion tracking and enhanced conversions correctly end-to-end.
• Ongoing budget monitoring and performance optimization across both platforms.

3. LinkedIn advertising

• Plan, set up and manage LinkedIn Ads campaigns for our B2B services across DACH and the US.
• Build and maintain audience segments (job titles, company size, industries, matched audiences).
• Run lead gen forms, sponsored content and retargeting, and measure them properly.
• Implement and maintain the LinkedIn Insight Tag and conversion tracking.

4. Conversion optimization

• Analyze user journeys and identify drop-off points across our funnels.
• Recommend and implement concrete improvements to landing pages, forms and calls to action.
• Define and run A/B tests where traffic volume supports them.
• Prioritize measures by expected impact versus effort.

5. Campaign setup and cross-channel tracking

• Plan and set up campaigns for our service lines (IT nearshoring, IT recruiting, custom software development, AI consulting, cybersecurity).
• Design and implement the tracking concept for all channels in use, including Meta (Pixel / Conversions API) where relevant.
• Ensure cross-channel campaign data is comparable and attributable in one place.

• Define KPIs and success criteria before launch.

   

Beyond the first phase — where this role is going

Depending on how the collaboration develops, we want to hand over further inbound marketing channels, for example:

• SEO and content marketing for both markets.
• Landing page and website conversion strategy.
• Email marketing and lead nurturing.
• Marketing automation and CRM-side lead handling.
• Organic social media and employer branding content.
• Market-specific campaign strategy for the US alongside DACH.

We do not expect one person to be equally strong in all of these on day one. We do expect you to tell us honestly where your strengths are and where we would need to add support.

Deliverables for the first three months

• A documented audit of the initial analytics, GTM and ad account setup, including findings and actions taken.
• A clean, documented GTM container and a working, verified conversion tracking setup.
• Restructured and actively optimized Google Ads campaigns with reported performance development.
• A LinkedIn Ads campaign structure live and measured.
• A Bing Ads setup assessed and, where it makes sense, live for the US market.
• A tracking concept covering all channels in use, documented so our team can maintain it.
• A prioritized list of conversion optimization measures — implemented where in scope, documented where not.

• A proposal for which inbound channels to build out next, with an effort estimate.

   

What you bring
Required

• Proven, demonstrable experience running online marketing for B2B companies — please reference concrete projects.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads.
• Practical LinkedIn Ads experience in a B2B context — campaign setup, audience building, lead gen forms, Insight Tag.
• Practical Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads)experience — account setup, campaign management, conversion tracking.
• Solid understanding of conversion tracking, attribution and data layer implementation.
• Practical experience with conversion rate optimization and A/B testing.
• Working knowledge of GDPR-compliant tracking (consent management, Google Consent. Mode) — mandatory for the European market; awareness of the Swiss revDSG is a plus.

• Ensure marketers complete initial troubleshooting before escalating; review their proposed solution first

• Run and optimize SEO (on-page and off-page), including link building, to grow our ranking for the search terms that matter for each brand, from "Solarcarport" and "Solarüberdachung + region" (PILLAR) to "energetische Sanierung" and "Bauunternehmen + region" (Betsa)
• Plan, set up, maintain and optimize Google Ads / PPC campaigns across both brands
• Drive social media performance across all our channels
• Build and improve landing pages that convert
• Handle end-to-end campaign setup and optimization
• Own tracking, analytics, and reporting,  and report performance per brand in a clear, simple format (traffic-light / KPI logic)

This role requires deep expertise in cold email infrastructure, high-volume outreach strategies, technical deliverability, and crafting compelling copy that converts cold prospects into active players.
 

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive cold email outreach strategies focused on user acquisition and lead generation.
• Manage the end-to-end technical setup for cold sending: domain purchasing, IP/domain warm-up, DNS configuration (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI), and sender reputation management.
• Source, segment, and meticulously clean/verify prospect lists to ensure low bounce rates and avoid spam traps (using tools like NeverBounce, ZeroBounce, etc.).
• Craft highly converting, personalized cold email sequences (copy, subject lines, calls-to-action) designed to grab attention and drive clicks.
• Set up and manage complex sending infrastructures using multiple domains and mailboxes to scale outreach safely.
• Monitor and report on core outbound KPIs (inbox placement, open rates, reply rates, CTR, bounce rates, and conversion to FTDs).
• Continuously run A/B tests on subject lines, copy, send times, and list segments to optimize campaign performance.
• Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure outreach aligns with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM) within the iGaming space.
 

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Email Marketing, with a strong focus on Cold Email Outreach / Outbound Lead Generation, ideally within iGaming, affiliate marketing, or highly competitive digital niches.
• Deep understanding of email technical infrastructure, deliverability factors, spam filter algorithms, and blacklist resolution.
• Proven track record of managing high-volume cold email campaigns while maintaining a 95%+ inbox placement rate.
• Hands-on expertise with cold outreach automation platforms (e.g., Instantly, Lemlist, Woodpecker, Apollo, Mailshake) and bulk SMTP services.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret deliverability data and adjust strategies to protect sender reputation.
• Excellent copywriting skills tailored specifically for cold audiences (hooking attention, overcoming objections, driving action).
• Understanding of affiliate mechanics, CPA/RevShare models, and player acquisition strategies in iGaming is a strong plus.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
