Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile and creative Video Editor to join our team. You will be the visual storyteller behind our core content pillars: long-form podcast episodes, keynote speeches, and bite-sized social media assets.

This role requires more than just technical proficiency; it demands an understanding of storytelling, pacing, audience retention, and brand consistency. Whether you are polishing a 90-minute interview, capturing the energy of a stage event, or repurposing that content into viral TikTok/Reels, you will play a critical role in how our message reaches the world.

Key Responsibilities

Content editing of substance, flow and dialogue, not just technical assembly. Decide what parts of the conversation matter and trim the other parts. Tighten the dialogue by trimming obvious waste, removing pauses, filler words, stumbles, breaths, etc.

1. Podcast Editing (Long-Form)

  • Edit multi-camera footage of interviews and panel discussions into cohesive, engaging episodes.
  • Perform audio cleanup, mixing, and leveling to ensure broadcast-quality sound.
  • Create dynamic graphics, lower-thirds, and B-roll integration to maintain viewer interest during long segments.
  • Manage versioning for different platforms (e.g., YouTube full episode vs. Spotify video).

2. Event Keynote Production

  • Edit recorded keynote speeches and conference panels.
  • Synchronize multiple camera angles and slide presentations seamlessly.
  • Add motion graphics, speaker titles, and branding overlays appropriate for corporate or industry events.
  • Ensure professional polish suitable for archival use and executive distribution.

3. Social Media

  • Identify and extract high-performing «moments» from long-form content to create vertical shorts (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn).
  • Adapt tone and pacing rapidly based on platform algorithms and current trends while maintaining brand voice.

4. Workflow & Collaboration

  • Organize and manage large media assets, project files, and archives efficiently.
  • Collaborate with producers, content team, graphic designers, and marketing team to align with goals.
  • Maintain a consistent turnaround time for urgent deliverables without sacrificing quality.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional video editing experience with a diverse portfolio (interviews, events, and social clips).
  • Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
  • Audio Skills: Strong ability to mix audio, remove background noise, and balance levels (experience with Audition or Sound Forge is a bonus).
  • Storytelling: A keen eye for pacing, rhythm, and narrative structure. You know when to cut, when to hold, and how to build tension.
  • Social Native: Deep understanding of what works on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn. You understand aspect ratios, caption styles, and hook structures.
  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
