Finance Director

Experience

• 8+ years in finance, including Big Four accounting firms (Audit, Transaction Services, or M&A).
• Senior in-house finance experience in payments, fintech, PSP, or acquiring.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).

Core Knowledge

• Full finance ownership: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, AP/AR, payroll, treasury.
• Payments economics: interchange, scheme fees, FX margins, chargebacks, rolling reserves.
• Multi-entity, multi-currency accounting, tax, VAT, and audit.

Key Skills

• Transaction-level analytics: approval rates, declines, refunds, chargebacks.
• Reconciliation across acquirers, PSPs, and merchant settlements.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Strong SQL, advanced Excel, and BI tools (Looker, Metabase, Tableau).

Leadership & Personal Qualities

• Hands-on, data-driven, and highly analytical.
• Proactive problem solver.
• Able to build processes and scale a finance team.
• Strong business partnering with CEO and COO.

Language

• Fluent English (C1–C2).

Nice to Have

• M&A, fundraising, and board reporting experience.
• Knowledge of PSD2, EMI/PI regulations, and AML/KYC.
