Senior Backend Engineer (PHP / Laravel, Highload Systems, Integrations)

Hello, we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (PHP / Laravel, Highload Systems & Integrations). Real-world experience in system design is essential. 

Our Skin Marketplace product in the iGaming industry needs an experienced backend developer who can design the architecture, build robust integrations, and take responsibility for key technical decisions.

Location: remotely.

Team: 2 Backend Developers, 2 DevOps engineers, 2 Frontend Developers, Designer, QA engineer,  Product Manager.

Requirements:

- Excellent knowledge of PHP and Laravel - сommercial work experience 4-5+ years 

- Practical experience with:

        - Clean Architecture

        - DDD

- Working with several types of external APIs:

          - Payment systems (crypto/fiat)

          - Data providers (pricing, inventory, etc.)

          - Third-party CS2 marketplace APIs - will be a plus

- Deep understanding of:

          - Working with unstable external APIs

          - Rate limits

          - Retry/backoff strategies

          - Idempotency

          - Webhooks/event-driven approach

- Async and processes:

          - Queues and background processes

          - Event-driven architecture

          - Workflow systems (Temporal is a required)

- Infrastructure and performance:

          - MySQL (optimization, indexes, complex queries)

          - Redis (various usage patterns)

          - Docker

          - Understanding of highload and scaling

- PSR12 compliance

- Experience with data caching

- Experience working with webSockets

- Level of English - Intermediate 

List of technologies:

- PHP 8.2 / Laravel 10/11 / MySQL / Redis / REST API / Docker / Git (CI/CD)

- Required: RoadRunner / Temporal (or similar workflow engines) 

- A ​​plus: Kubernetes

Responsibilities:

- System architecture design

- Key technical decision making

- Development of complex services and integrations

- Code review and quality control

Tasks description:

- Design and development of backend architecture (Clean Architecture / DDD)

- Building robust integration layers

- Developing complex business logic

- Working with asynchronous processes and workflows (Temporal)

- Integration with external APIs (payment systems, data providers, gaming APIs)

- Performance and scalability optimization

- Participation in technical solutions

Will be an advantage:

- Experience with:

     - RoadRunner

     - Kubernetes

     - Marketplace / trading systems

- Experience with high-load systems

- Experience building platform solutions

- Experience in the gaming or digital goods industry
