Creative Strategist
About RankSector
RankSector is an AI-powered growth platform that puts content creation, distribution, and organic reach on autopilot. Customers connect their site and RankSector handles everything end to end: research, writing, publishing, and partnerships that get content seen.
We're a small, fast-moving team based in Estonia 🇪🇪, fully remote, no middle management, no bureaucracy. You'll work directly with the founder and a tight creative team where decisions happen in hours, not weeks.
The Role
You own the full creative strategy loop for paid social ads (Meta, TikTok). You decide what gets made and why, then prove it with data.
Your core loop:
- Research winning ads, competitor creative, and performance trends.
- Pick angles worth testing.
- Write detailed creative briefs: scripts, hooks, visual direction, talent notes, reference ads, and specific creative notes.
- Hand off to the editor, who produces the assets.
- Review every asset before it goes live. Give specific feedback, not vibes.
- Set up campaigns and A/B tests in the ad platform.
- Read performance data. Decide what to iterate, scale, or kill.
- Write iteration briefs on winners. One good angle can spawn 10+ rounds of variations.
You work directly with one video/image editor who ships daily. You're not editing. You're the person who decides what gets made, writes the brief that makes it happen, and reads the data that tells you what to do next.
What a Typical Week Looks Like
- Monday: Review last week's campaign performance. Identify winners and losers. Plan the week's briefs.
- Tuesday–Thursday: Write briefs, review editor output, give specific feedback, set up campaigns.
- Friday: Final reviews, launch new tests.
You write 5–8 briefs per week (mix of new angles and iterations on winners). You review all editor submissions within 24 hours. Campaigns go live within 24 hours of asset approval. You send a weekly summary: what launched, what won, what you're testing next, what you're killing.
What We Provide
- A reliable editor who ships 2+ polished videos per day without chasing.
- AI video and image generation tools already built into the workflow.
- Brand assets, templates, fonts, and a growing raw asset library.
- Direct line to the founder for fast approvals and creative pivots.
- Full access to ad platform data and campaign analytics.
- Project management setup with clear statuses, task templates, and sprint structure.
How We Work
- Practice Humility: coachable, curious, no ego.
- Own the Outcome: if the ads aren't performing, that's your problem to solve, not someone else's.
- Mind the Details: the difference between a €40 CPA and a €15 CPA lives in the creative details.
- Foster Honest Dialogue: if an angle is dead, say it. If the editor needs to level up somewhere, say that too.
- Share Your Perspective: propose new formats, test unconventional ideas, challenge assumptions with data.
- Show Genuine Respect: with teammates, with feedback, with the work.
What "Good" Looks Like
We evaluate you on creative performance and decision quality, not hours logged.
- You can look at a product and generate 5 testable angles before lunch.
- Your briefs are detailed enough that the editor executes without questions.
- You review assets same-day with specific, actionable feedback ("cut 0.3s from the intro, move the text overlay to frame 2," not "make it better").
- You read campaign data and immediately know what to test next.
- You don't get attached to ideas that the data says aren't working.
- Winners get iterated. Losers get killed fast. You don't let ego slow down either decision.
Requirements
- 2+ years running creative strategy for paid social (Meta, TikTok, or both).
- Portfolio of ad angles you personally conceived, briefed, and launched, with performance results.
- Understanding of direct response: hooks, angles, offers, funnels, landing pages.
- You know what's working on TikTok and Meta right now, not 6 months ago.
- Can write detailed creative briefs that leave nothing to interpretation.
- Data-literate: you pull campaign numbers, read them correctly, and make decisions fast.
- Strong follow-through. We don't chase for reviews or campaign setups.
- English B2+ (writing briefs, giving feedback, short calls).
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI creative tools (Midjourney, Runway, Kling, or similar).
- DTC, supplements, skincare, health/wellness, or app marketing background.
- Landing page copywriting skills.
- Experience managing editors or small creative pods.
- Familiarity with ClickUp, Frame.io, or similar project management and review tools.
Don't Apply If
- You can't show ads you personally strategized with real performance results.
- You need someone to tell you what angle to test next.
- You think "creative strategy" means choosing stock photos and writing generic ad copy.
- You struggle with direct creative feedback or avoid making hard calls on killing underperforming work.
- You're a beginner looking for training. We need you writing briefs and reviewing assets from day one.
Compensation
- $2,000–$3,500/month base (depending on experience and demonstrated results).
- Performance bonus from month 3: tied to ad performance metrics (CPA improvement, ROAS, winning rate on new angles), paid monthly on top of base.
- Fully remote, flexible hours aligned to EU business time.
- Growth path: this role is designed to grow into Head of Creative or Head of Growth as we scale the paid ads operation. That path opens when you build a repeatable creative engine that consistently finds winning angles.
Hiring Process
- Apply on Djinni. We review your profile.
- Portfolio share. We'll ask for ads you came up with, the briefs behind them, and what the numbers said after launch.
- Call (30 min). We get to know each other, talk through your experience, and how you think about creative.
- Paid trial (5 business days). You work with our editor, our tools, and real products. Briefs written, assets reviewed, campaigns live by Day 5. If you need ramp-up time to start producing, this isn't the right fit.
- Full-time start. Trial goes well, you move straight into the full contract.
