About Us
RankSector is an AI-powered growth platform that handles content creation, distribution, and organic reach for 500+ businesses. Small, fast-moving team based in Estonia. No middle management, no bureaucracy.
The Mission
Own short-form video execution for RankSector. Take briefs, AI-generated base footage, and raw assets, then ship polished TikToks, Reels, and Shorts that perform. You are accountable for daily output, quality, and consistency.
Why This Role Exists
We have already built the strategy, the hooks, the creative direction, and the AI tooling that produces base footage. What we need is someone who turns those inputs into finished videos every working day, on time, without supervision.
Editing fast isn't the bar. Editing fast with taste is. Anyone can cut clips together. We need someone who understands why a hook lands at 0.4 seconds vs 0.8, why caption timing changes retention, and why some sounds work this month and not next.
The value of this role isn't any single skill. It's full ownership of the daily output: polished videos shipped every weekday, with no chasing.
What You'll Own
1. Daily Edit Output (Primary)
Ship 2+ polished short-form videos per day, under an hour of edit time per video once you have the brief and assets. Output is split between organic content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) and paid social creative (Meta and TikTok ads). You'll handle:
- Clip cutting and pacing
- Captions and text overlays
- Sound selection and audio mixing
- Color grading
- Animations and motion graphics
- Final QC and platform-spec exports (organic and paid)
2. AI Video Workflow
Use our internal AI video generation tools to produce base footage, then add the finishing layer that makes content feel human and scroll-stopping. As new AI platforms launch (Runway, Pika, HeyGen, Sora, Kling, whatever comes next), test them, learn them, and fold the useful ones into your workflow without being asked.
3. Creative Feedback Loop
When a format isn't performing, flag it. When a hook style is fatiguing, say so. We expect specific observations, not vague vibes. You will see the analytics on what you ship and you're expected to feed pattern recognition back into the team.
4. Operations
Log work, keep project files organized, communicate status. The team should never have to ask where something stands.
What We Provide
- Daily briefs from the content team (hooks, scripts, structure, references)
- AI-generated base footage and a growing raw asset library
- Brand assets, templates, fonts, licensed sound library
- Direct line to the founder for fast approvals and creative pivots
- Performance data on every video you ship
How We Work
- Practice Humility: coachable, curious, no ego
- Own the Outcome: ship on time, no chasing required
- Mind the Details: the difference between 50k views and 5M is in the details
- Foster Honest Dialogue: if creative isn't working, say it
- Share Your Perspective: propose new formats, test ideas
- Show Genuine Respect: with teammates, with feedback, with the work
What "Good" Looks Like
We evaluate you on output quality and consistency, not hours logged. What we care about most:
- Daily output: 2+ polished videos shipped on weekdays, briefed by EOD
- Turnaround: under 1 hour of edit time per video once brief and assets are ready
- Hook execution: first 3 seconds optimized, captions timed to spoken word, no dead frames
- Format awareness: you know what is working on TikTok this month, not last year
- Communication: status visible without anyone asking
Baseline activity expectations (table stakes, not differentiators):
- 10+ videos shipped per week
- Same-day response on creative feedback
- Project files organized, labeled, and versioned
- Weekly summary: what shipped, what performed, what you'd test next
These volumes are easy to hit with our tooling and brief flow. Hitting them isn't impressive. Falling short is disqualifying.
Interview Process
Apply → Portfolio Review → Interview → Paid Trial → Full-Time Start
- Apply: Submit your application via Djinni.
- Portfolio Review: We watch your work. If the edits don't show taste, the process ends here.
- Interview: 30-minute call to discuss your workflow, AI tooling experience, and how you handle creative feedback.
- Paid Trial (5 business days): You'll edit real videos with our briefs, footage, and tooling. We evaluate quality, speed, and how you handle direction.
- Full-Time Start: If the trial goes well, you move straight into the full contract.
Paid Trial (5 Business Days)
You'll get full access to briefs, AI tooling, the asset library, and direct contact with the content team.
This isn't a "get to know each other" week. We expect 10 finished, ready-to-publish videos by Day 5, with at least 2 shipped to live channels and tested. Detailed quality criteria are shared before the trial starts so there are no surprises, but the bar is high. If you need ramp-up time to start producing, this isn't the right fit.
Requirements
- Native feel for short-form video (TikTok, Reels, Shorts), not just technical editing chops
- Expert in CapCut (Premiere, After Effects, or DaVinci also fine)
- Portfolio of short-form edits you personally cut, with links to live posts. If you can't show your own work, don't apply.
- Strong follow-through. If we have to chase you, this isn't the role.
- Comfortable receiving direct creative feedback and adjusting fast
- English fluent enough to read briefs, respond in writing, and join short calls
Bonus
- Hands-on experience with AI video tools (Runway, Pika, HeyGen, Sora, Kling, or similar)
- Past work in an agency or content team with high-volume, fast-turnaround expectations
- Motion graphics or animation skills beyond basic text overlays
- Past experience editing for SaaS, app, or DTC brands
Do Not Apply If
- You're a beginner looking for training. We need you editing on day one.
- You struggle with direct creative feedback or want to stay in your comfort zone.
- You wait around to be told what to do next.
- You can't show real edits you personally produced.
Compensation
- Base: $2,000-$2,800/month (full-time contract), based on experience and demonstrated taste + commission
- Performance commission: starts in month 3, tied to the performance of paid ads you edit (CTR, CPI, ROAS), paid monthly on top of base
- Remote, hours flexible but aligned to European business time
This role is designed to grow into Lead Video Editor or Head of Content Production if you build a repeatable output engine.
