We’re building Rendi, a mobile app for language learning. About us

VL Ventures GmbH is a Munich-based group with two operating brands in the German construction and energy transition market:
 

PILLAR Germany GmbH manufactures and installs solar carports, PV mounting systems and screw foundations. We sell B2B — to EPCs, installers, project developers, and commercial property owners across Germany.
 

Betsa GmbH is a general contractor specialising in energy-efficient building renovation. We serve property owners and investors, primarily in and around Munich.
 

Two brands, two very different buyers, one shared goal: a paid acquisition engine that produces qualified leads our sales team actually wants to call.
 

The role

We are building our marketing department from the ground up, and paid advertising is the first pillar. You will own it — end to end, for both brands.

This is not a role where you inherit a tidy account and optimise bids by 3%. You will build the structure, define the tracking, set the strategy, and be accountable for cost per qualified lead. You get real budget, direct access to decision-makers, and no agency layer between you and the results.
 

If you want to point at a pipeline in twelve months and say "I built that," this is the role.
 

What you will do

Strategy & campaign management

• Own the full paid media strategy for PILLAR (B2B, considered purchase, long sales cycle) and Betsa (regional, high-intent, homeowner and investor-driven)
• Plan, build, launch and optimise campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Display, YouTube), Microsoft Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and LinkedIn
• Manage monthly budgets across both brands, including pacing, forecasting and reallocation between channels based on performance
• Run structured testing programmes: ad copy, creative, audiences, landing pages, bidding strategies
   

Tracking & data

• Own conversion tracking end to end: GA4, Google Tag Manager, conversion actions, offline conversion import from our CRM
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards (Looker Studio or equivalent) that show cost per lead, lead quality and pipeline contribution — not just clicks
• Close the loop with sales: track which campaigns produce leads that close, and shift spend accordingly
   

Content & collaboration

• Write and iterate German-language ad copy that converts
• Brief and collaborate with our Brand Manager and designers on creative assets for paid social
• Brief landing pages and work with the team on conversion rate optimisation
• Feed insights back into the wider marketing and sales strategy — keyword demand, competitor activity, seasonality
   

Compliance & hygiene

• Ensure campaigns and landing pages meet German legal and platform requirements (GDPR, consent management, ad policy)
• Maintain account hygiene: negative keyword lists, audience exclusions, naming conventions, documented account structure
   

What we are looking for

Must have

• 3+ years of hands-on PPC experience, managing accounts yourself rather than supervising others
• Proven track record across both Google Ads and paid social — we need one person who can do both well
• Lead generation experience (not exclusively e-commerce/ROAS)
• Solid working knowledge of GA4 and Google Tag Manager; you can set up and debug tracking without waiting for a developer
• German Language at least B2) — you will write the ads
• Analytical mindset: you can explain what happened, why, and what you will do next, backed by data
• Self-directed working style; you can operate without daily supervision and set your own priorities
   

Nice to have

• Experience in construction, renovation, renewables, solar or another technical B2B/high-consideration category
• LinkedIn Ads experience for B2B lead generation
• CRM experience and comfort with lead-to-close reporting
• Basic HTML/CSS or hands-on experience with landing page builders
• Ukrainian language skills (used in parts of our organisation)
   

What success looks like

First 30 days: You have audited both accounts, mapped the current tracking setup, identified the gaps, and presented a prioritised plan.

First 90 days: Tracking is trustworthy for both brands. Campaign structure is rebuilt where needed. Reporting shows cost per qualified lead by channel, and you have a testing roadmap running.

First 6 months: Paid acquisition is a predictable, reportable lead source for PILLAR and Betsa, with a documented playbook per brand and a clear case for where the next euro of budget should go.

We acquire casino players through email at volume. We need one person to own that channel end to end: data in, deposits out. This is a numbers job. Small team, direct access to the founder, budget for tools, no approval chains.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

— List operations: validation, cleaning, dedup, suppression management, and geo segmentation across in-house and partner brand geos

— Deliverability at consumer scale: sending infrastructure, domain and IP rotation, warm-up, DMARC and one-click unsubscribe, complaint-rate control, inbox placement testing

— Offers and copy: short, offer-led emails per geo and per brand; testing subject lines, bonus angles and send timing 

— Routing logic: which segment goes to which brand, in what order, with what follow-up 

— Tracking and reconciliation: tracking links, postbacks, CPA vs revshare reconciliation against each brand's affiliate program 

— Reporting: separate views for data providers and for external sending partners, plus weekly numbers to us

MUST HAVE

— 2+ years running B2C email acquisition at real volume (100k+/month), with numbers you can state: delivery rate, complaint rate, registrations, FTDs, cost per FTD 

— Deliverability as a core skill. Gmail/Yahoo bulk sender requirements, DMARC, seed testing and inbox placement tools. You've recovered a burned domain, not just read about it 

— List operations: MillionVerifier / ZeroBounce / NeverBounce or equivalent, bounce and suppression handling, comfortable with large files 

— Affiliate mechanics: tracking links, S2S postbacks, and the difference between what a CPA deal pays and what it actually costs you 

— Consent and compliance awareness: unsubscribe handling, data provenance, geo and licensing restrictions, 18+ and responsible gambling requirements 

— iGaming or affiliate marketing background 

— Self-directed. You build the system, report weekly, don't need chasing

NICE TO HAVE

— Own sending infrastructure (SES, SparkPost, Mailgun, dedicated SMTP) 

— SQL or advanced Excel for list ops 

— Automation with n8n / Make / scripts
