Marketing Senior Creative Strategist (Performance Marketing, Meta Ads)
We are looking for a senior-level creative strategist who understands what actually drives ad performance โ not just what looks good.
We run a mobile app in the fitness niche and rely heavily on performance marketing, fast iteration, and constant creative testing. This role is for someone who can consistently come up with strong advertising angles, break down why creatives win or fail, and turn insights into structured concepts and clear tasks for the team.
We are not looking for a junior marketer, a trend watcher, or someone focused mainly on visual taste. We need a hands-on performance thinker who understands direct response, testing logic, audience psychology, and how to build creatives that convert.
What you will do
- Analyze ad creatives and identify what is actually driving performance
- Break down why specific creatives worked or failed based on hooks, angles, structure, messaging, visuals, and audience fit
- Develop new testing hypotheses based on performance data, competitor research, customer psychology, and market signals
- Create ad concepts for Meta Ads and other performance channels from scratch
- Build clear creative directions including hook, angle, concept, visual approach, copy, and CTA
- Write structured briefs for designers, video editors, UGC creators, and other creative contributors
- Work closely with the founder and creative team to improve the quality and consistency of creative testing
- Help build a more systematic creative testing process focused on finding scalable winners, not just producing more assets
- Contribute to creative strategy across different audience segments, offers, and stages of awareness
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in performance creative strategy, direct response advertising, or creative analysis for paid acquisition
- Strong understanding of Meta Ads and what drives performance there
- Ability to think in hypotheses, testing frameworks, and market feedback loops โ not in terms of personal preference
- Strong skill in identifying why a creative performs or underperforms
- Ability to generate original, high-potential ad concepts independently
- Ability to turn strategic thinking into clear and actionable tasks for a team
- Strong creative judgment with a clear performance-first mindset
- High ownership, proactivity, and the ability to operate without constant supervision
Strong plus if you have
- Experience with mobile apps, subscriptions, or direct-to-consumer products
- Experience in fitness, wellness, self-improvement, or adjacent niches
- Experience with UGC, static ads, motion creatives, advertorial-style concepts, and creator-driven formats
- Ability to work across different audience segments and develop different angles for different avatars
- Strong understanding of consumer psychology, emotional triggers, and conversion-driven messaging
What success looks like in this role
- You consistently bring in new creative ideas worth testing
- Your concepts are clear enough that designers and creators can execute them without confusion
- You help improve the quality of our testing pipeline, not just the quantity of creatives produced
- You can explain why something should work before the test and why it did or did not work after launch
- You help us find scalable winning concepts, not just isolated one-off ideas
What you will get
- Direct influence on product growth and acquisition performance
- A fast-moving, performance-focused team with little bureaucracy
- A constant flow of real creative tests with measurable outcomes
- Fast feedback loops and the ability to see your ideas launched quickly
- The opportunity to help build a strong creative system from the ground up
- Long-term collaboration with real ownership and impact
Work format
- Remote
- Part-time or full-time โ open to discussion
- Long-term collaboration
Compensation
- $1,200โ$1,600/month, depending on experience and fit
To apply, please send
- A short summary of your experience with performance creatives
- The niches and ad platforms you have worked with
- Examples of creatives, case studies, or results
- Your approach to finding and prioritizing new creative hypotheses
- 3 creative angles you would test for a fitness app
