German Content Writer, Proofreader

We produce diverse content - from breaking news and engaging entertainment pieces to inspiring, heartwarming stories that bring people together across the globe.

We’re looking for an experienced German Content Writer & Proofreader to join our team. In this role, your work will reach millions of AmoMama subscribers around the world. You’ll be working with emotionally resonant German-language stories — from celebrity news to inspiring narratives about everyday people. It’s also a great opportunity to sharpen your editorial skills, collaborate with AI tools, and elevate content quality that drives real impact for the business.

In this role, you will:
 

• Write original news articles in German, focusing on celebrity and pop-culture topics;
• Proofread and polish articles in German, ensuring grammatical accuracy, natural flow, and editorial consistency;
• Translate and localize short social-media posts from English into German, preserving native style and tone;
• Use DeepL, AI-assisted tools and CMS platform to support translation, editing, and quality enhancement at scale.

To be effective in this role, you’ll need: 

• Fluency in German (C1+) and strong English skills (B2+).
• Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, DeepL, Claude AI, CAT tools;
• At least one year’s experience in content creation and proofreading;
• Prior experience translating texts;
• Strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines;
• High adaptability, able to adjust quickly to changing tasks and priorities;
• Clear and proactive communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience writing celebrity news.
• Hands-on experience with CMS (WordPress or similar).

Your direct manager will be Julia, our Content Operations Manager. She has worked at Amo for seven years. Julia started as a researcher, creating celebrity, entertaining, and SEO-oriented content, digging deeper into the production processes. Currently, Julia works as our Content Operations Manager in the editorial office. Her responsibilities include building processes in the editorial team, bringing the initiatives to life, and distributing content across all platforms. As a team leader, Julia values people who are ready to take responsibility, stick to deadlines, and are not afraid of asking questions.
