Senior Game Designer ( LiveOps)
Senior Game Designer (LiveOps) to an international product game studio with Ukrainian roots, a developer and publisher of mobile games that have been ranked in the top of their genres on the global market for over 10 years. The games with a million-strong audience across 200 countries and a top-3 ranking in the US in its genre, as well as No. 1 in the world in the F2P Hidden Object genre.
The Project - LiveOps stage of a well-known mobile game (free-to-play, iOS/Android) with a 10-year presence on the market and multi-million audience worldwide.
The company size - 150+ employees
Project team- up to 70 people (GD Designers, artists, developers, product owner, etc.)
GD team - 4 people (Lead+GD+ Economy designer)
Location - remote job from any country, office Cyprus (Limassol).
Requirement:
- 5+ years of experience as a Game Designer, with 1.5+ years focused on LiveOps in large-scale F2P projects (Casual / Midcore).
- Hands-on experience with projects $5M+ in gross revenue or products in an active scaling phase.
- Strong expertise in game systems, including economy balancing, reward math, difficulty design, progression, and player retention mechanics.
- Strong knowledge of the F2P games market: analyzing competitors, trends, events, and understanding how to adapt successful approaches to HOPA projects.
- Ability to create clear and structured documentation, logical diagrams, flowcharts, economic models, and balance tables.
- Experience working closely with analysts, product managers, and development teams to improve key game metrics.
Responsibilities:
- LiveOps Architecture: Designing and implementing new frameworks (events of different scales, offers, segmentation) and seamlessly integrating them into the core progression.
- Growth Opportunities: Analyzing player behavior (from non-payers to VIPs) to improve monetization metrics through A/B testing, updates to existing features, or the release of new ones.
- Game Modernization: Updating FTUE, shop and offer systems, events, gameplay, and economy to meet current market standards and performance expectations.
- A/B Testing: Finding ways to improve key metrics through bold changes to the game and its economy.
- Narrative Synergy: Collaborating with writers to create story-driven LiveOps, where each event expands the Hidden City lore.
