COO in performance marketing agency

We are looking for a COO / Head of Operations to own and scale the operational engine of the business β€” delivery, systems, finances, and execution.

This role is for a systemic business thinker who knows how to scale processes, teams, and profitability without losing efficiency, quality, or control.

This is not a back-office role.
You will directly own delivery outcomes, financial discipline, and operational execution.

You will work closely with the CEO and act as the single owner of day-to-day business execution.


Areas of Responsibility

Delivery & Performance Stability

  • Own delivery health across all accounts and pods.
  • Ensure predictable, high-quality execution as the business scales.
  • Reduce churn, escalations, and delivery volatility.
  • Build visibility into delivery performance and risks.

 

Team & Resource Leadership

  • Own capacity planning and utilization across pods.
  • Run regular pod-level performance reviews.
  • Hold Team Leads accountable for workload balance and delivery quality.
  • Enable strong leadership without micromanaging execution.


Client & Partner Success

  • Maintain senior-level relationships with key agency partners.
  • Validate satisfaction, expectations, and delivery consistency.
  • Identify and address risks before they turn into escalations.


Finance, Unit Economics & Profitability

  • Own financial discipline across delivery operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payments (salaries, contractors).
  • Maintain visibility into margins by account, pod, and offer.
  • Identify unprofitable delivery structures and drive improvements.
  • Control COGS and protect EBITDA as the business grows.


Systems, Processes & Scalability

  • Own operational systems and reporting (Airtable as a source of truth).
  • Ensure data quality and clear executive visibility.
  • Standardize and document core operational processes.
  • Build scalable frameworks that support growth.
  • Identify automation opportunities and validate ROI-driven improvements.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years in operations, delivery, or agency leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of agency economics
  • Experience managing multi-team delivery structures
  • Data-driven decision maker
  • Financially literate operator
  • System builder, not firefighter
  • Comfortable holding leaders accountable
  • Strong english communicator with CEO-level mindset
