AI Workflow Automation Engineer
About the role
We are looking for a part-time Automation Engineer to own and maintain an AI-assisted workflow for generating interactive desktop prototypes from Figma designs.
The core focus of this role is automation of manual processes, workflow stability, and operational ownership - not frontend feature development.
You will work closely with product and design, while being able to maintain and troubleshoot the workflow independently, without relying on the core development team for day-to-day issues.
Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and improve an automated Figma โ AI โ Desktop Prototype workflow.
- Own the workflow end-to-end:
- setup,
- maintenance,
- error handling,
- iteration improvements.

- Integrate the workflow into our existing CI/CD pipeline.
- The current pipeline is already set up and can be reused or cloned.
- Monitor builds and set up failure notifications (messenger / Slack).
- Diagnose and classify errors:
- automation issues,
- AI/model limitations,
- incorrect input from design or product.
- automation issues,
- Resolve workflow issues independently or provide clear, actionable recommendations to product/design.
- Maintain documentation and usage guidelines for the team.
Key requirements
- Strong experience in automation of manual or semi-manual processes.
- Experience building and maintaining automated workflows or pipelines in real products.
- Ability to own a process in production-like conditions, not just prototype it.
- Experience working with AI / LLM-based tools in applied workflows.
- Comfortable debugging complex systems and explaining root causes.
- Team player mindset and clear communication with non-engineering roles.
Technical context (nice to know, not mandatory)
- Desktop application (Electron-based)
- Frontend: React.js, Tailwind CSS
- CI/CD: existing pipeline already in place
- Design: Figma
Deep React or Electron expertise is not required. We can help with product-specific technical details if needed.

Interview process
- Intro interview (30 minutes) - experience and approach to automation.
- Final interview - discussion of workflow design, failure handling, and ownership mindset.
