Junior/Middle AI engineer Offline

We are elai.io, an innovative AI-driven startup specializing in video generation. Recently acquired by Panopto — a leader in interactive video solutions — we’re now part of a growing team of around 200 professionals focused on advancing learning through powerful, interactive video technology.

We’re looking for  AI Engineers to join our team and help maintain the stability and quality of our AI-driven video generation platform.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for investigating and resolving issues within the avatar generation process, improving model reliability, and ensuring consistent performance across different use cases.

Must-have skills

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. 
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant project or internship experience with model training, evaluation, and deployment. 
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, data science, CV, and ML libraries (scikit-learn, NumPy, OpenCV, etc.), and a major ML framework (PyTorch or TensorFlow). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). 
• Attributes: Solid grasp of fundamental ML concepts and a strong desire to learn and collaborate.

Key responsibilities

• Data & Models: Prepare data for training; implement and run ML models based on existing designs.
• Experimentation: Execute and document ML experiments, reporting key results to the team.
• Code Contribution: Write, test, and maintain clean code for ML pipelines and components.
• Collaboration: Work with senior staff to understand requirements and learn best practices.
