Finance Director Offline

We are looking for an experienced Finance Director to lead the development and execution of our financial strategy during a period of growth and transformation. You will be responsible for building a strong finance function, managing compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and driving operational and reporting excellence.

This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for someone who brings experience as a CFO or Deputy CFO and thrives in dynamic, international business environments.

 

We would like to inform potential applicants that this is a full-time position based in our Riga office. For candidates currently located outside Latvia, relocation will be a prerequisite.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy to support long-term growth, profitability, and sustainability;
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes in alignment with business objectives;
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide insights to drive business decisions.

     

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee financial reporting and ensure accuracy, transparency, and timeliness;
  • Implement automated and scalable reporting systems to improve speed and quality of insights;
  • Manage liquidity, cash flow, and treasury operations across multiple legal entities;
  • Ensure effective risk management and scenario planning.

     

Regulatory & Tax Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory and tax requirements;
  • Oversee reporting to supervisory authorities and maintain high governance standards;
  • Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and financial institutions.

 

Organizational Design & Operations

  • Design and build a finance organization that supports the smooth operation of all business units;
  • Establish a centralized accounting system and harmonized financial practices across legal entities;
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and controls within the finance team to ensure accountability and efficiency.

 

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, including accountants and treasury personnel;
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with legal, operations, and executive teams;
  • Provide senior management with clear, actionable financial insights and recommendations;
  • Serve as the key finance point of contact for stakeholders, partners, and regulators.

 

Requirements:

 

  • 5+ years of experience as a CFO, Deputy CFO, or Finance Director in a multi-entity organization;
  • Proven experience designing and building finance organizations from scratch or during transformation;
  • Experience managing legal entities and financial operations across Europe and other regions;
  • Strong track record in automating financial reporting and improving process efficiency;
  • Demonstrated leadership of finance teams, including accounting, tax, treasury, and reporting;
  • Higher education in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field;
  • Fluent in English and Russian (spoken and written);
  • Strong understanding of IFRS/local GAAP and international compliance standards;
  • Hands-on experience with financial systems and ERP implementations is a plus.
