SEO Specialist (audit)

We’re looking for a SEO Specialist to help our client with SEO audit.

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on SEO Specialist to support our client’s internal team, which is currently overloaded. The client operates in the affiliate and iGaming domains, so familiarity with these industries is essential.

In this short-term freelance engagement (2 months, with possible extension), you’ll play a key role in conducting in-depth SEO audits, implementing technical improvements, and providing strategic recommendations.

The primary focus will be identifying and resolving technical SEO issues across the company’s main websites. You’ll collaborate closely with the content team, who will take care of implementing content and image updates, while your efforts will center on technical analysis and optimization.

What you'll do in this role  

• Conduct comprehensive audits of selected websites to identify:
  • Technical SEO issues
  • On-page and off-page optimization gaps
  • Performance and crawlability issues
  • Opportunities for quick wins and long-term improvements
• Deliver clear, actionable SEO audit reports with prioritized recommendations
• Collaborate with our team to ensure implementation of fixes (you advise, we implement content/images)
• Provide targeted support on technical SEO elements, including but not limited to:
  • robots.txt file optimization
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM) review and setup
  • Google Search Console (GSC) page-level error resolution
  • Indexing, crawl errors, and Core Web Vitals
• Assist with monitoring results post-implementation and suggest refinements

We're looking for

• Proven hands-on experience conducting SEO audits and implementing technical SEO best practices
• Strong working knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, GTM, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/SEMrush, and other SEO tools
• Comfortable working autonomously and delivering high-quality outputs with limited supervision
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working on WordPress sites is a big plus
