Bankstore is looking for a Head of Compliance/Execution Legal Banking Onboarding Client to build and lead our compliance function as we scale our banking and financial products. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has operated inside fintech or banking-as-a-service environments and understands both the regulatory landscape and the pace of a growing company. Key Responsibilities

Banking & Corporate Structuring

• Open accounts with banks and payment systems (EMI / PI), including IBAN and merchant accounts.
• Incorporate companies in different jurisdictions across Europe, Asia, and the USA.
• Maintain non-resident companies and keep them in good standing.

Legal Drafting & Documentation

• Draft and revise contracts, agreements, and other legal documents in accordance with international law.
• Draft internal policies and manuals, terms and conditions, GDPR documentation, BSA/AML policies, and KYC/CIP procedures required to maintain the BankStore.ai platform.
• Draft and revise investment and startup-related documents, including term sheets, investment agreements, partnership agreements, SAFE and SAFT instruments, and similar.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

• Oversee and control the compliance and sustainability of the BankStore.ai platform in line with local and international legislation (EU, US, Asia, MENA, and others).
• Support the BSA/AML program: help review transaction-monitoring alerts and assist with SAR/CTR filing materials.
• Perform KYC/CIP checks on new clients and screen against OFAC/sanctions lists and PEP databases.
• Track changes in the fintech/banking regulatory environment (BSA/AML, UDAAP, Reg E, Reg Z, GLBA, EFTA, state money-transmission law) and help translate them into policy and process updates.
• Prepare documentation and support regulator, sponsor-bank, and banking-as-a-service partner reviews and audits.
• Help maintain licensing requirements (e.g., money transmitter licenses) across the company's operating jurisdictions.
• Support vendor and third-party risk reviews tied to compliance obligations.
• Provide basic compliance responses regarding the complexity of legal documents.

Client Management & Support

• Communicate with clients to ensure full completion of Level 1 and Level 2 profiling.

Partnerships, Communication & Research

Required Qualifications

• Law degree (LL.B. / LL.M. or equivalent); a licence to practise law is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate, commercial, or financial-services law, ideally within fintech, banking, or payments.
• Working knowledge of international banking and the EMI / PI regulatory landscape, as well as company formation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Solid command of BSA/AML, KYC/CIP, and OFAC sanctions-screening frameworks, GDPR, and cross-border compliance across the EU, US, Asia, and MENA regions.
• Familiarity with US consumer-protection and banking frameworks (UDAAP, Reg E, Reg Z, GLBA, EFTA) and state money-transmission licensing is a plus, ideally gained in a fintech, neobank, or banking-as-a-service/sponsor-bank environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

Team Leadership & Management

Tax Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations regarding payroll, taxation, and labor laws

• Prepare and submit Consolidated Tax Reports (Social Contribution and Personal Income Tax) and proactively adjust to legislative changes
