Senior macOS Developer (Swift / Media, Video)

We are looking for a Senior macOS Developer to work on a native screen recording and video processing application for macOS.

The product is a macOS screen recorder that captures high-quality video together with cursor movements, clicks, and other user interaction data. After recording, users can customize zooms, cursor effects, highlights, and other visual elements.

There is already a working PoC built with Swift, ScreenCaptureKit, and VideoToolbox. The main goal is to turn it into a stable, production-ready native macOS application.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong commercial experience with Swift and native macOS development
• Solid hands-on experience with AppKit
• Experience with ScreenCaptureKit or similar screen/video capture technologies
• Strong knowledge of AVFoundation, VideoToolbox, CoreMedia, and CoreVideo
• Experience with Metal and/or Core Image for real-time rendering or video processing
• Experience with performance profiling and optimization using Instruments
• Understanding of macOS permissions, signing, notarization, and distribution
• Ability to independently own architecture and complex features end-to-end

Nice to have:

• Experience building screen recording, video editing, streaming/capture, or screen-sharing applications
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 / PKCE, Keychain, URLSession, WebSockets/SSE
• Experience with Sparkle auto-updates and macOS CI/CD
• Ability to read Python and TypeScript code

Cooperation:

• Full-time during the active development stage
• After the main development phase, there may be an opportunity to transition to a part-time / support & maintenance format
• Remote
• macOS hardware can be provided or reimbursed
• High level of technical ownership and autonomy
