About the company and the role

At  Lendurai,  we enable the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) independent of global navigation satellite systems and radio link availability, using computer vision and machine learning technologies. We work with a number of UAV manufacturers, providing effective and affordable solutions for the security and defense sector. The core of our team has significant experience in aerospace engineering and computer vision application development in Europe, including at Bolt (EE), Open Cosmos (UK) and Starship Technologies (EE). Lendurai has offices in Estonia and Ukraine.

As  a UAV Test and Integration Engineer  in Ukraine, you will work in the national UAV ecosystem: directly with military users, with manufacturers integrating Lendurai solutions into their platforms, and at the range during testing. You will become a key link between military units (users), Ukrainian UAV manufacturers, and our remote engineering and product teams.

Your tasks

• Work with military technical teams to resolve technical, configuration, and integration issues on FPV and multirotor platforms using Lendurai solutions.
• Support Ukrainian UAV manufacturers in integrating Lendurai software and hardware into their platforms and ground control systems.
• Plan, conduct, and document field tests and test flights in collaboration with defense customers and partners.
• Integrate and test radio channels and video links on UAV platforms, including MILERLS, analog and digital video systems, repeaters, and ground stations.
• Configure, flash and optimize MILERS / MILBETA firmware.
• Perform PID tuning and other optimization of controller parameters for multirotor and fixed-wing platforms according to specific mission profiles.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, radio, and firmware faults on site; maintain UAV platforms and ground stations in operational condition for tests and demonstrations.
• Collect, structure, and transmit logs, telemetry, and video footage from flights; provide engineering and product teams with data to improve algorithms and system experience.
• Train end users (UAV pilots, technicians, instructors) to configure, operate, and maintain systems based on Lendurai solutions.
• Work closely with remote engineering teams (Estonia/other countries): reproduce identified issues, verify the functionality of proposed fixes, and communicate information about real system limitations and edge cases.

Mandatory requirements

Practical experience with FPV in combat or near-combat conditions:

• Proven experience flying FPV drones in manual modes (Acro), preferably during combat missions or realistic training missions.

Deep expertise in radio system and firmware configuration:

• Advanced MILERS and MILBETA setup and firmware skills.
• Experience integrating and troubleshooting various radio stacks (video, control, telemetry, repeaters) on FPV and multirotor platforms.

Experience with flight controllers and setup:

• Experience in PID tuning and optimization of related parameters for multi-rotors.
• Reliable work with common stack controllers (Betaflight / INAV / Ardupilot / PX4 or similar).

Language and place of work:

• Fluent in Ukrainian and English (oral and written).
• Residence in Ukraine and willingness to regularly travel to UAV bases and test ranges.

• Willingness to work in close proximity to combat zones (not on the front lines) and interact with military end users on a daily basis.
