We are looking for an Engineering Manager or experienced Team Lead with a strong Data Engineering background to lead and scale the teams building our high-reliability, secure, and linearly scalable Data direction.

This role is ideal for engineering leaders who combine strong technical expertise in data and platform engineering with people leadership and delivery ownership. Whether you are already an Engineering Manager or a hands-on Team Lead looking to expand your impact, you will play a key role in shaping teams, data architecture, and engineering culture.

You will lead the company's transition toward an AI-first approach - ensuring fast, governed access to analytics and AI/ML models while maintaining strict financial and regulatory compliance. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, platform/infrastructure, and business, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, scalability, security, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop cross-functional Data Engineering and Data Platform teams
• Own delivery, quality, and technical outcomes for the data platform
• Partner closely with Product, Analytics, Data Science/ML, and Senior Engineering leadership to translate business and AI requirements into a scalable platform roadmap
• Drive and evolve data engineering processes, including planning, estimation, CI/CD for data, testing and data quality, code reviews, and release management
• Contribute to architectural decisions for data systems running on hybrid infrastructure (batch + streaming, lakehouse, and beyond)
• Ensure high availability, performance, data reliability, and observability of production pipelines and platform services
• Embed security, privacy, data lineage, and regulatory compliance into the platform by design
• Identify and reduce technical and data debt while maintaining delivery velocity
• Mentor engineers, support career growth, conduct 1:1s and performance conversations
• Participate in hiring and team scaling initiatives

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on professional Data Engineering experience, with a strong track record of building and operating production-grade data pipelines and platforms
• Experience leading engineering teams as an Engineering Manager, Team Lead, or similar leadership role
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures, including data modeling, ETL/ELT, distributed data processing, pipeline orchestration, batch and streaming workloads, and data storage
• Experience delivering complex data systems or platforms in production environments
• Background in financial systems, FinTech, or other high-reliability, regulated domains
• Strong understanding of data platform and backend systems - data modeling, distributed data processing, and pipeline orchestration
• Hands-on experience with the modern data stack: batch and streaming processing, orchestration, and warehousing/lakehouse 
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment strategies for data workloads
• Familiarity with data observability (data quality, metrics, logging, alerting, lineage) and performance monitoring

• Experience building platforms that serve AI/ML workloads (feature stores, MLOps, model-serving, vector/embedding stores)

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Technical Lead Trading Platform to own and lead our core trading infrastructure. In this role, you will act as the technical and operational lead for the Trading Platform direction, overseeing 4 engineering teams. You will bridge strong technical authority with people leadership, driving core re-architecture programs while growing engineering leads and ensuring high-delivery standards.

Responsibilities:

— Own the target architecture of the Trading Platform direction: Market Data, OMS/EMS, WPF trading terminal and news streaming — within the company-wide architectural principles, including design reviews, the ADR register and final say on architectural decisions local to the direction.
— Lead the two ongoing full re-architecture programmes of Market Data and OMS/EMS, including migration staging, dual-run and reconciliation strategy, transition criteria, rollback planning and delivery without interruption of the trading session.
— Lead and develop four Engineering Leads, including one-on-ones, goal setting, performance management, development plans, calibration of their teams’ performance reviews, compensation proposals, hiring and separation.
— Own delivery predictability across four teams, including planning, capacity management, delivery and quality metrics, and regular reporting to the Head of Engineering.
— Own the engineering bar of the direction, including coding standards, code review practices, definition of done, and technical debt management across the teams.
— Oversee production operations of the direction, including release management, SLA compliance, incident response, and post-mortem follow-through; coordinate the work of the development teams with L2 support.
— Act as the primary technical point of contact for business, product, design, QA and SRE within the Trading Platform direction: architecture, technical solutions, feasibility and implementation approach — how things will be built. Scope and priorities remain with the product vertical.
— Own the direction budget and technical roadmap, including headcount planning, vendor and infrastructure decisions within approved limits, and quarterly and annual goal setting.
 

Requirements:

— Production experience with low-latency, high-throughput systems — market data and/or order routing and execution — at a scale comparable to billions of messages per trading session and thousands of messages per second.
— Deep distributed systems expertise: consistency trade-offs, fault tolerance and failover, backpressure, state replication and recovery, determinism and replay, latency tail diagnostics.
— Proven experience leading a large migration or re-write of a system in production without business interruption, including dual-run, reconciliation and rollback strategies.
— C++ and/or C# at a level sufficient to read code, run design reviews and argue technical decisions on the merits with senior engineers. Writing production code is not part of the role.
— At least 2 years of managing managers — one or more team leads with their own teams as direct reports. Managing a single team of engineers does not meet this requirement.
— Demonstrated experience growing an engineer into a team lead, and handling a team lead who was not performing.
— Experience in an environment with L2 on-call, SLA commitments and formal incident management, including building a blameless post-mortem culture.
— People management practices: performance management, development of managers, hiring, capacity planning and prioritization.
— English — upper-intermediate or higher
— Ukrainian — native.

— WPF or other desktop client experience.

About the role

We’re looking for someone who owns delivery — not tracks it, not reports it, owns it.

You’ll be responsible for a specific area: games, features, or platform work. From the first conversation about a requirement through to production — you’re on the hook for the whole thing.

This isn’t a coordination-only role. We need someone with previous hands-on software engineering, DevOps, release engineering, or similar technical experience who can actively improve and automate the way software is built, tested, and released.

You set the timeline, track it, and communicate changes before people start asking questions. If there’s a blocker, you’ve already seen it. If a release isn’t ready, you say so — clearly and early.

You’ll look at how work flows through your area and fix what’s broken. Not just follow whatever process exists. You’ll design something that actually works, iterate on it, and make it better over time.

A key part of the role will be identifying manual steps, bottlenecks, and failure points in development and release workflows, and then building practical automation to remove them. This may include improving CI/CD pipelines, automating release checks, connecting tools through APIs, and developing scripts or lightweight internal solutions.

Quality is yours too. Not QA’s problem alone, not the tech lead’s problem. You own release readiness: is it tested, is it documented, does anyone know the operational risk. If the answer is no, it doesn’t ship.

You’ll work closely with product, engineering, QA, and client-facing teams, keep them aligned, and report directly to the VP of Delivery.


What we expect from you

First 30 days

• Understand how delivery actually works in your area — not how it should work, how it actually works
• Map where work gets stuck, what the recurring blockers are, and who the key people are
• Meet everyone who matters: product owners, tech leads, QA, release managers, client teams
• Write up what you found and share it with the VP of Delivery

• Take ownership of delivery tracking for your area
• Pick the biggest workflow problem you found and start fixing it
• Show you can catch a blocker before it causes a delay — at least twice

First 90 days

• Own and communicate a delivery forecast that stakeholders actually trust
• Ship at least one release with no last-minute surprises — quality gates passed, documentation done, everyone aligned
• Present your view on how delivery should work in your area going forward

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years in an engineering delivery, software delivery leadership, or similar role where you owned outcomes, not just process
• Previous hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Release Engineer, Build Engineer, Developer Productivity Engineer, or in a similarly technical role.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including builds, automated testing, versioning, deployment, monitoring, and rollback.
• You catch problems early. Not because you’re lucky, but because you know what signals to watch
• You’ve worked across engineering, product, and QA and you know how to keep them moving together
• Strong communicator — you can give a clear, honest delivery update to a VP without needing a slide deck
• You care about quality beyond closing tickets — release readiness, testing coverage, operational risk are things you think about naturally
• You’re genuinely interested in the product you’re delivering, not just the process around it
• You actively look for repetitive manual work and replace it with reliable, maintainable automation.

Nice to have

• Background in iGaming, gaming, or another regulated product environment
• Experience in a B2B or multi-operator delivery model
• Familiarity with incident management and post-mortems
• Experience working with external studios or third-party development partners

As a Head of QA, you will lead a distributed Quality Engineering organization of approximately 50 engineers across multiple teams.
