Jobs Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with 7 years of IT experience to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-based solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, ETL Tools like DBT, Python, visualization tools like Tableau and modern CI/CD practices, with a deep understanding of data governance, security, and role-based access control (RBAC). Knowledge of data modeling methodologies (OLTP, OLAP, Data Vault 2.0), data quality frameworks, Stream lit application development and SAP integration and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform is essential. Experience working with different file formats such as JSON, Parquet, CSV, and XML is highly valued.

• Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines using Snowflake and Snow pipe for real-time and batch ingestion.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for seamless deployment of data solutions.
  • Automate DBT jobs to streamline transformations and ensure reliable data workflows.
  • Apply data modeling techniques including OLTP, OLAP, and Data Vault 2.0 methodologies to design scalable architectures.
  • Document data models, processes, and workflows clearly for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Build data tests, unit tests, and mock data frameworks to validate and maintain reliability of data solutions.
  • Develop Streamlit applications integrated with Snowflake to deliver interactive dashboards and self-service analytics.
  • Integrate SAP data sources into Snowflake pipelines for enterprise reporting and analytics.
  • Leverage SQL expertise for complex queries, transformations, and performance optimization.
  • Integrate cloud services across AWS, Azure, and GCP to support multi-cloud data strategies.
  • Develop Python scripts for ETL/ELT processes, automation, and data quality checks.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform for scalable and automated cloud deployments.
  • Manage RBAC and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance and secure data access.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.

• Mandatory Skills Description:

  • Strong proficiency in Snowflake (Snowpipe, RBAC, performance tuning).
  • Hands-on experience with Python , SQL , Jinja , JavaScript for data engineering tasks.
  • CI/CD expertise using Azure DevOps (build, release, version control).
  • Experience automating DBT jobs for data transformations.
  • Experience building Streamlit applications with Snowflake integration.

We need someone with solid on-premises networking experience at CCNA/CCNP level who has made the move into Azure cloud networking and can operate confidently across both worlds in a hybrid enterprise environment.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of a modern cloud platform. You will design and operate secure, high-performance network infrastructure with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, enterprise connectivity, and perimeter security. Your work directly enables product and development teams to move quickly — without cutting corners on stability or safety. What you will actually do

Design and support secure, scalable Azure network architectures across landing zones, subscriptions, and tenants

Enable hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity including peering and enterprise integration

Create a clear, consistent path for developers that balances security, usability, and delivery speed

Implement strong network segregation using VNets, NSGs, routing, and security appliances

Own and continuously improve perimeter and edge services — including Web Application Firewalls, DDoS protection, SSL VPNs, and load balancing including Global Server Load Balancing

Work across firewall and threat-prevention platforms from Microsoft, Palo Alto, Check Point, and Cisco

Support identity and access flows where they intersect with network design

Collaborate with managed service providers and professional services partners

Design with non-functional requirements front of mind — security, availability, scalability, and performance

Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud network technologies

Strong hands-on Azure networking experience

Solid background in hybrid and multi-cloud environments

Deep grounding in enterprise networking fundamentals — routing, switching, and security — at CCNA/CCNP level or equivalent

Experience working alongside managed service providers or delivery partners

Security-first mindset with practical experience across perimeter and network security services

Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, or actively working toward it

Cisco CCNP or comparable enterprise networking certification, or in progress

ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management knowledge

Your future responsibilities:

• Designing target architecture: developing data models and requirements for their description
• Building data flow maps from source systems to reporting to ensure complete transparency of data origin
• Performing data profiling and analysis of the source system
• Formulating clear conclusions to support the end use of data
• Use metadata repositories to perform data and system integration impact analysis
• Participate in defining data exchange principles (ETL/ELT, Kafka, REST API) with a focus on data integrity
• Participate in the implementation of Data Quality Management (DQM): rules, monitoring, control
• Participate in the implementation of Data Governance controls in business processes and systems
• Identify data-related risks, develop and monitor a minimization plan
• Implement KPIs and OKRs for the Data Governance program
• Communicate results to key stakeholders

Your future responsibilities:

• Collaborate with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
• Design, use and test the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies (DevOps & Continuous Integration)

PwC Poland’s Cloud & Digital team supports global cloud projects across Cloud Strategy, Migrations, Data Analytics, and DevOps. We help clients adopt cloud infrastructure, modernize data platforms, and optimize operations. This hybrid role is based in Warsaw with flexible working options.

Your future role:

• Building data platforms (data warehouses, lakes, lakehouses) using Azure Databricks, MS Fabric, Azure Data Factory.
• Designing data flows using medallion architecture and supporting data migrations from legacy systems.
• Conducting data assessments with Data Modelers/Analysts and addressing data quality issues.
• Working with senior stakeholders to gather requirements and support modern data architecture design.
• Supporting Data Governance activities, especially around MDM and Data Quality.
• Understanding Data Science/Analytics use cases in industries like Consumer Goods, Retail, Manufacturing, or Financial Services.

Apply if you have:

• ~3 years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields (BI, Data Science).
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, MS Fabric.
• Experience building data warehouses/lakehouses with Azure Data Factory / Synapse.

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to participate in desing and architectute of client's data platform and GenAI initiatives. The primary focus of this role is building scalable distributed data processing systems that will serve as the foundation for the company's intelligent services.



Job Description

Required:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software development, focusing on Python programming and data engineering.
• Strong expertise in Data Lake architecture and modern data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with distributed computing systems (Apache Spark is a must).
• Strong Python proficiency for building complex pipelines and internal tooling.
• Good understanding of distributed systems principles, real-time data processing, and batch processing.
• Experience in scaling data infrastructure (AWS/GCP cloud solutions).
• Proven experience in designing and scaling vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate, pgvector etc.), experience in developing recommendation systems and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Ability to independently drive technical discussions, make informed architectural assumptions, and justify technology choices.
• Ability to decompose complex "from scratch" tasks without detailed specifications.

Nice to have:

• Intermediate knowledge of Airflow for workflow management in data processing.
• Generative AI: Experience with vector databases, RAG architectures, or integrating LLMs into data pipelines.
• Experience designing and building middleware platforms, REST APIs, and distributed systems at scale.
• Web Development: Basic API development skills to provide data access to other services.

Job Responsibilities

• Data Platform: Designing and maintaining high-load Spark pipelines for processing terabytes of data.
• GenAI Support: Building data infrastructure for training and operating generative models (ingestion, cleaning, vectorization).
• Architectural Contribution: Active participation in technical brainstorming, developing data quality standards, and processing protocols.
• Optimization: Identifying and resolving bottlenecks in current distributed processing systems.
