Project Overview:

We are looking for a Senior / Lead GPU Infrastructure Engineer to join a cutting-edge project focused on building next-generation infrastructure for on-demand GPU access and large-scale compute environments.

The platform enables researchers to efficiently access and manage GPU resources across:

• High-performance GPU workstations
• Large-scale GPU clusters
• Cloud-based environments

You will work on core infrastructure systems, including GPU scheduling, cluster orchestration, automation, and developer environment standardization.

 The project starts with an MVP phase, with further development planned based on product roadmap and business priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop infrastructure for GPU workstations and clusters

Our client is looking for an AI Data Engineer to help build, maintain, and improve internal and client-facing LLM-powered systems. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, retrieval infrastructure, and production AI operations, with a strong focus on reliability, retrieval quality, scalability, and operational excellence.

Key Requirements:

What you will do:
🔹Working with Vector Databases
🔹Maintain and improve ingestion and enrichment pipelines for internal and client content, including parsing, extraction, normalization, metadata enrichment, deduplication, and quality monitoring
🔹Improve indexing and retrieval quality through chunking and segmentation refinements, embedding and index update workflows, metadata filtering, and caching
🔹Support hybrid retrieval architectures combining vector search, keyword or BM25 search, and metadata-aware filtering
🔹Implement and maintain access-aware retrieval by propagating and enforcing document permissions at indexing and query time, including audit logs and validation tests
🔹Improve source attribution so responses consistently point to the correct documents, sections, and references in a reliable format

At Atto Trading, data is the foundation of every trading decision we make. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will own and evolve the on-premise Data Lake that powers our quantitative research and production trading - a system handling 1PB+ of market data today and growing by 100TB each year.

The Role

You will take end-to-end ownership of our data infrastructure: from architecting high-performance storage on our VAST platform to designing the pipelines that deliver clean, reliable market data to traders and researchers. This is a high-ownership role in a small, fast-moving team where your work directly shapes our research and trading capabilities.

What You'll Do:

• Design and manage scalable on-premise storage systems optimized for high-throughput analytics and research workloads
• Build and operate end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines (Prefect/Airflow) for market data across US Equities, Futures, SIP feeds, and other sources
• Implement data quality validation frameworks and SLA/SLO monitoring to detect anomalies and ensure data completeness
• Develop metadata and catalog layers for efficient data discovery and self-service access across the firm
• Design event-driven architectures for near real-time market data processing and delivery

• Conduct structured intake sessions with quant researchers to map their data access patterns, query workloads, latency needs, and iteration cycles

   

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles, with proven large-scale infrastructure ownership (100TB+)
• Strong understanding of market data structures: trades, quotes, order books, corporate actions
• Production-grade Python and SQL; experience building APIs (FastAPI or equivalent)
• Experience with DAG orchestration tools (Prefect, Airflow or similar)
• Deep familiarity with binary columnar storage formats (Parquet, Feather/Arrow IPC), including encoding strategies, compression tuning, row group sizing, predicate pushdown and schema evolution trade-offs
• Design namespace structure, tiering strategies, and protocol selection (NFS/S3) on VAST, optimizing for mixed workloads (experience with Vast Database and Vast Data engine is a plus)
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; 
• Quantitative finance background is a plus

This is an ownership-heavy role: you will take full responsibility for turning a manual, repetitive process into a reliable, scalable system and ensuring it runs correctly in production.

• Own the end-to-end automation of hotel and room mapping workflows;

Unlike a typical "build-from-scratch" role, this position is centered around maintaining and stabilizing a complex DWH ecosystem. You will be the "guardian" of data flow, ensuring that daily operational pipelines run reliably and investigating failures in the legacy and modern stack.
