About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for the connectivity stack of a large-scale data platform. The work spans three areas:

• Client connectivity — drivers and client libraries used by applications and BI tools
• Source connectivity — connectors to databases and data systems, including authentication, metadata discovery, and query/data pushdown, with certification and upgrade support
• Agent & service connectivity — tool interfaces and integrations for AI-agent access to the platform

Deep expertise in one of these areas is enough — you'll grow into the adjacent ones over time. This is a role for an engineer who cares about API and protocol stability, backward compatibility, and interoperability with the tools enterprises actually use. You will lead the design and delivery of substantial components, working within an established architecture alongside US-based engineering reviewers.

This is a systems-level, backend engineering role focused on drivers, protocols, and distributed services — not application development or CRUD services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of connectivity components — client drivers, source connectors, and service integrations — turning ambiguous initiatives into well-scoped, reviewable milestones
• Produce technical designs, explain architectural trade-offs, and surface compatibility, security, and delivery risks early
• Maintain backward compatibility and API/protocol stability; build compatibility, interoperability, and performance test suites

Required Qualifications

UnioTech is a contract engineering company delivering hardware and embedded systems for clients across Europe. We are looking for a Hardware Development Engineer whose primary focus is the design of PCBs and hardware for a wide range of sensor systems — microcontroller- and single-board-computer-based platforms integrating diverse sensors and low-power wireless communication. Strong experience in high-power power electronics (isolated DC/DC converters) is highly valued: this person will also be expected to contribute to, and ideally lead, power-stage design work.

Responsibilities:

Sensor system hardware (primary focus)

• Design, develop, and test hardware for sensor systems built around microcontrollers (MCU + sensors) and single-board computers (SBC + sensors).
• Translate system requirements into modular and scalable schematics, PCB layouts, and Bill-of-Material (BoM) selection.
• Design mixed-signal PCBs interfacing to a broad range of sensors, including analog front-ends and digital buses (I2C, SPI, UART, 1-Wire, CAN, RS-485).
• Specify signal-conditioning and data-acquisition chains: amplification, filtering, ADC/DAC selection, voltage references, and noise management.
• Integrate low-power radio communication into sensor nodes — typical transmit power up to ~10 W, operating frequencies up to 5 GHz (e.g., sub-GHz ISM, BLE / 2.4 GHz, Wi-Fi, LoRa). This includes RF front-end, impedance matching, and antenna integration and placement.
• Design power-supply and power-management sub-systems for sensor nodes (LDOs, switching regulators, battery / charge management, low-power and sleep-mode design).
• Ensure signal integrity, EMC/EMI robustness, sound grounding, and predictable thermal behavior across the layout.
• Perform prototype bring-up, hardware debugging, testing, and laboratory validation across the specified environmental operating range (e.g., −20 °C to +70 °C).

Power electronics (retained scope — highly desirable)

• Design, develop, and test complex power electronics hardware, specifically isolated DC/DC converters in the 700 W to 1 kW range, with input voltage up to 900 Vdc and output voltage up to 600 Vdc.
• Design power stages utilizing various topologies (Push-Pull, Half-Bridge, Full-Bridge).
• Apply expertise in magnetic-component design, including calculating and specifying high-frequency transformers and filter inductors.
• Implement hardware-based protection circuits (OVP, OCP, SCP, OTP).
• Verify functional performance of prototype hardware under all specified operating conditions, including extreme temperatures (-20 °C to +70 °C) and the full voltage range (input up to 900 Vdc, output up to 600 Vdc).
• Execute lab testing, including thermal profiling (baseplate conduction cooling), efficiency mapping, and high-voltage safety protocol execution.

Required Qualifications & Hard Skills

• 3+ years of professional hardware/PCB design experience: schematic capture and multi-layer PCB layout for mixed-signal systems.
• Hands-on experience designing MCU-based and SBC-based hardware and interfacing it to sensors over analog and digital interfaces.
• Experience integrating low-power RF/wireless links (up to 5 GHz, up to ~10 W): RF-aware layout, controlled impedance (50 Ω), matching networks, and antenna integration.
• Strong grasp of mixed-signal PCB layout: minimizing noise coupling, grounding strategy, power distribution, and EMC/EMI mitigation.
• Experience bringing up and debugging prototype hardware with standard lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer, VNA, etc.).

Highly Desirable — Power Electronics

• 5+ years of general experience in power electronics design, OR 2–3+ years of highly relevant experience focused specifically on high-power (>500 W) SMPS development.
• Deep understanding of hard-switching and soft-switching (ZVS) mechanisms in forward-derived topologies.
• Expertise in PCB layout for power electronics, with a strict focus on minimizing parasitic inductances, isolating “hot loops,” and adhering to strict creepage and clearance geometry rules (e.g., >10 mm gaps for 1000 V+).
• Experience conducting circuit modeling and simulations (LTspice, PSIM, Simulink, or PLECS) to validate and optimize converter designs.
• Extensive experience designing around hardware analog PWM controllers and tuning analog feedback-loop compensation.

About the Job

We are building a complex agent that analyzes documents and produces defined data structures extracted from them. Three properties are critical: the structures must be accurate — faithful to the source documents, with exact references and exact quotes; valid — types conforming to their schemas, required fields filled, and so on; and free of duplicates — not repeating structures that were already accepted or rejected before.

Must-have

- 3+ shipped LLM-powered systems in production, each with a measurable quality harness the candidate built personally (golden sets, precision/recall tracking, regression gates in CI). Be ready to walk through one in depth — at whatever level your own NDAs allow — including a concrete regression the harness caught and what changed because of it.
- Proven ability to split model work from deterministic validation: pipelines where extraction is model-driven but every acceptance check (dedup, linkage, schema, rule-conformance) is executable code. Prompt-only quality control is a disqualifier.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced hardware engineer to own end-to-end flight-control hardware integration across a diverse fleet of drones — from FPV quads to larger autonomous multirotor, fixed-wing, and VTOL platforms. You'll be the person who takes a new airframe from a pile of components to a tuned, flight-ready system: selecting and wiring the flight controller, flashing and configuring ArduPilot or Betaflight, integrating ESCs, sensors, radios, power, and payloads, and tuning it until it flies cleanly.

This is a hands-on, on-site role based in our lab/hangar, spanning the full range from quick R&D prototypes to repeatable production builds. You'll be the hardware integration expert for the team, working independently and setting the standard for how builds are configured, documented, and validated. Success looks like new platforms reaching reliable, flight-ready status quickly — and builds that stay consistent and reproducible from one unit to the next.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end hardware integration of flight-control systems across multiple platform types (multirotor, fixed-wing, VTOL, FPV).
• Select, flash, configure, and tune ArduPilot (Copter / Plane / Rover) and Betaflight; build and maintain custom firmware targets and board definitions where needed.
• Integrate and validate flight controllers, ESCs, and motors — including protocol setup (DShot / bidirectional DShot, PWM / OneShot), motor–prop matching, and thrust testing.
• Bring up and calibrate full sensor suites: IMUs, barometers, compasses/magnetometers, GPS/RTK, rangefinders, optical flow, and airspeed sensors.
• Integrate RC and telemetry links (ExpressLRS, TBS Crossfire, CRSF / SBUS, MAVLink, SiK radios) and FPV/video systems (analog and digital VTX, OSD, cameras, antennas).
• Spec, assemble, and wire power systems — distribution, regulation, current/voltage sensing, and battery selection — with clean, reliable harnesses.
• Integrate smart peripherals over CAN / DroneCAN and companion computers (Raspberry Pi / Jetson) over MAVLink.
• Diagnose vibration, noise, and EMI issues and implement fixes (soft-mounting, gyro/notch filtering, grounding, shielding).
• Run bench, ground, and flight tests; analyze logs (Mission Planner / MAVExplorer, Betaflight Blackbox) and iterate on PID and filter tuning.
• Root-cause failures and design for reliability — diagnose in-flight and bench anomalies, build in redundancy where it matters, and harden platforms to hold up in real-world field conditions.
• Take platforms from quick R&D prototypes through to repeatable, well-documented production builds — locking in configurations and processes that stay consistent across units.
• Document build configurations, wiring, and setup procedures, and support/upskill the team so they can operate and iterate independently.

• Work closely with the software, mechanical, and flight-test teams to integrate cleanly and resolve hardware–software issues together.

   

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience integrating and configuring ArduPilot and/or Betaflight on real hardware.
• Strong working knowledge of drone subsystems: flight controllers, ESCs, motors, sensors, RC links, power, and FPV.
• Comfortable with soldering, wiring, and general benchtop debugging (multimeter, bench power supply).
• Solid grasp of the relevant protocols: DShot, CRSF / SBUS, MAVLink, I2C / SPI / UART, and ideally CAN / DroneCAN.

• Degree in electrical, aerospace, mechatronics, or robotics engineering — or equivalent hands-on experience.

   

Nice to have

• Writing custom ArduPilot board definitions (hwdef) or Betaflight targets, and compiling firmware from source.
• Familiarity with PCB design (KiCad / Altium) is a welcome bonus — but we treat full board design as a separate specialty, so it's not expected for this role.
• RTK GPS and precision navigation, lidar, or computer-vision payload integration.

We are looking for a Field QA Engineer to own the quality of the navigation software running on unmanned ground vehicles — validated against the real, physical unit in the field, not just in a simulator, and then to represent that quality live in front of customers and partners. This is not a desk-only QA role: roughly 70% of your time is hands-on testing (hardware, software, networking, and simulation), and the rest is running and supporting live demos — where you’ll set up the system, troubleshoot on the spot, and carry field feedback back to the engineering team. You will need to be comfortable working from a command-line/terminal interface (Linux shell, SSH, logs), just as comfortable with cables and connectors, and equally comfortable explaining what you’re doing to a non-technical audience abroad.

Responsibilities

• Test the robot as a full system — hardware, software, and the connection between them — not just the application layer
• Validate network and wireless connectivity between the robot and its control station, and diagnose connection issues (latency, packet loss, dropped links) when they occur
• Get physically hands-on with the unit: cabling, connectors, power, sensors — you are expected to understand the device, not just the screen showing its output
• Travel for field testing as needed
• Identify, reproduce, and clearly document bugs across hardware and software, and work directly with engineers to get them resolved fast

Requirements

• QA experience with hardware, embedded, or IoT-adjacent systems — not purely web/app QA
• Working understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP basics, wireless protocols, and how to diagnose connectivity problems
• Comfortable working hands-on with physical devices and basic diagnostic tools
• Basic knowledge of Linux terminal

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who will play a pivotal role in leading the electrical architecture, hardware design, and system integration of next-generation medical imaging systems. In this role, you will drive the design of high-density PCBAs, precision motor control systems for mechanical positioning gantries, and critical imaging signal chains, while mentoring engineers and acting as the technical anchor for a cross-geography engineering team. Expected skills:

• Write and import test benches for the FPGA, run joint debug sessions with the verification team to ensure design functionality is preserved during ASIC to FPGA conversion
• Review test firmware in C and support the firmware team with test bench debugging
• Develop custom hardware companion boards and daughtercards for off-the-shelf FPGA boards and kits

About the role

We are looking for a Middle Systems / Software Engineer to work on the performance-critical core of a real-time Computer Vision platform.

This is not a typical Python Backend role. The main challenge is building and optimising the systems underneath the CV/ML engines — where performance depends on memory, processes, concurrency, data movement, CPU/GPU utilisation and low latency.

You will work on the runtime that executes CV pipelines as a graph of processing stages, with latency measured in milliseconds. You will deal with shared memory, zero-copy data transfer, inter-process communication and process orchestration.

What matters most to us

We are open to engineers coming from C++, Python, Go or similar backgrounds.

The programming language itself is not the main selection criterion. What matters much more is a strong systems engineering mindset and experience understanding what is happening inside a system.

For example, we are particularly interested in engineers who have worked with problems such as:

• reducing unnecessary memory copies;
• optimising CPU/GPU utilisation;
• investigating latency spikes and performance bottlenecks;
• working with processes, threads and concurrency;
