Architectural Designer / Sketcher
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Architectural Designer / Sketcher to join our construction and development team in Pittsburgh, PA.
The main focus of this role is creating architectural sketches, concepts, and visual solutions for residential renovation and construction projects.
Responsibilities
Create architectural and conceptual sketches
Develop hand-drawn and digital sketches
Prepare visual concepts for residential projects
Work with form, perspective, proportions, and composition
Develop basic plans, drawings, and design concepts
Translate project requirements into clear visual solutions
Work with the construction team to develop practical design solutions
Make revisions based on project requirements
Prepare sketches and drawings for further project development
Requirements
Degree or professional education in Architecture, Architectural Design, or a related field
Proven experience as an Architect, Architectural Designer, Architectural Illustrator, or Sketcher
Strong skills in architectural sketching and visualization
Understanding of perspective, composition, proportions, and architectural forms
Ability to create both hand-drawn and digital sketches
Experience with residential architecture and/or renovation projects is a plus
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Portfolio of previous architectural/design work is required
U.S. Requirements
Experience working with U.S. residential projects is a plus
Knowledge of U.S. architectural standards and construction practices is a plus
Professional certificates, credentials, or licenses applicable to architectural work in the United States are preferred
Candidates should provide information about their education, professional certifications, and authorization to work in the United States
