Responsibilities: 

• Go through the software requirements and get clarifications on one’s doubts. 
• Become familiar with the software under test and any other software related to it. 
• Generate test cases based on the requirements and other documents. 
• Procure or create test data required for testing. 
• Test software releases by executing assigned tests.  
• Report test results. 
• Update test cases based on the discovered defects. 
• Support the team with testing tasks as required. 
• Keep himself/herself up-to-date on the overview of the development technology, the popular testing tools (e.g. automated testing tools and test management systems), and the overview of the business domain. 
   

Skills Required: 

• 3+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer. 
• Strong knowledge of QA fundamentals (test design techniques, test cases, bug reports, etc.). 
• Good experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications. 
• Advanced skills in requirements analysis. 
• Ability to prioritize test cases based on risk analysis. 
• Experience and understanding of test estimation.  
• Knowledge and practical experience working with databases (SQL, MySQL). 
• Understanding of client-server architecture (REST API). 
• Understanding and experience in the software development life cycle. 
• Skills in reading and analyzing logs to figure out the root cause of a defect; experience with search dashboard tools like Kibana or Grafana. 
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and understanding of CI/CD processes. 
• Experience in UI testing using BrowserStack or similar platforms. 
• Experience using SourceTree or similar tools for working with repositories. 
• Intermediate English level. 
• Strong communication skills. 
• Experience participating in on-call duties. 
   

Desirable: 

• Gaming applications expertise will be a plus. 
• Integration testing using SOAP UI or Postman will be a plus. 
• Experience with a web proxy will be a plus (Fiddler, Charles). 
• Basic knowledge of Git flow. 
• Basic knowledge of HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON, and WebSockets.

We are seeking a QA Automation Team Lead to drive the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our real-time data streaming platform. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends technical depth, people management, and quality focus. You will lead a team working closely with engineering, data, and product colleagues to deliver scalable, low-latency pipelines that power mission-critical use cases – from real-time analytics to personalized user experiences. The team works with technologies such as Kafka Streams, Flink, and the JVM ecosystem (Java/Scala) to enable reliable and high-performance event-driven solutions.
 

What You’ll Be Driving:

• Building, guiding, and mentoring a high-performing engineering team, hiring, retaining, and developing top talent;
• Driving quality assurance and automation practices across the team, embedding testing and observability into every stage of delivery;
• Supporting and coordinating the planning and delivery of real-time streaming pipelines, focusing on high quality standards;
• Translating business requirements into robust solutions in partnership with product, data engineering, and analytics teams;
• Championing system performance, fault tolerance, and exactly-once semantics in streaming jobs;
• Defining project goals, enforcing agile methodologies, improving development processes, and tracking delivery against KPIs/OKRs;
• Evaluating and adopting new tools and technologies to strengthen the event-driven platform;
• Maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation of system architecture and technical designs.
   

What Makes You a GR8 Fit:

• 5+ years of experience in team leadership roles with a proven record of growing, motivating, and retaining talent;
• Enforcing high standards for testing, CI/CD, and release quality, with a background in QA or automation engineering;
• Delivering complex projects on time, within scope, and aligned to business goals, with experience in project management or delivery coordination;
• Communicating technical concepts clearly to both engineers and business stakeholders;
• Fostering an inclusive, collaborative team culture with strong people orientation;
• Demonstrating strong problem-solving, risk assessment, and decision-making abilities;
• Applying familiarity with containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Upper-Intermediate English level. 
   

Will be a plus:

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and at least one stream processing framework (Flink, Kafka Streams, or equivalent);
• Being proficient in Java/Scala/Python;
• Understanding distributed systems, data consistency models, and stream processing semantics.
