    An ambitious, hands-on Tech Lead (Python) to drive the technical vision and delivery of an intelligent legal automation platform. You will lead a cross-functional team building secure, scalable, and agentic AI solutions for notaries and legal professionals. You’ll define technical processes, select tools, and mentor engineers, supported by a culture of excellence and collaboration.

    Important!
    This role involves regular travel to the Netherlands to collaborate closely with the client, run in-person consulting sessions at the WeAreBrain office in Amsterdam, and occasionally visit the client’s office.     About the Project
    Our client is a Netherlands-based company building a SaaS platform for notaries. AI-powered workflow automation, document intelligence, and agentic orchestration for the legal sector. Our stack includes Python (FastAPI, PydanticAI, LangChain), OCR/NLP pipelines, React/Tailwind portals, and cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions). We focus on privacy, compliance, and practical AI for real-world legal workflows. The solution is hosted in the Netherlands and fully aligned with EU data and security requirements. The project is a long-term partnership with a blended team from both the client and our company, working together as a single product team.

    Qualifications
    β€” 5+ years of hands-on Python experience, including large-scale projects and microservices
    β€” Strong background in AI/NLP, OCR, or agentic workflow systems
    β€” Experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud infrastructure
    β€” Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and secure deployment practices
    β€” Solid understanding of REST, Websockets, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and security best practices
    β€” Experience with frontend integration (React, Keycloak) and Microsoft 365 APIs is a plus

    Skills you’ll need to bring:

    • Experience in influencer brand marketing within competitive industries (iGaming, fintech, crypto, entertainment or sports).
    • Strong understanding of creator ecosystems across global markets.
    • Ability to manage multi-market campaigns and lead complex execution end-to-end.

    We are seeking an experienced Senior ColdFusion Developer to support a critical transitional project. Our existing marketplace platform, developed in ColdFusion and hosted on AWS, is being replaced by a new system built on a completely modern technology stack.

    During this transition period, we need a skilled expert to maintain, stabilize, and improve the current platform while also preparing and executing selective data migration to the new solution.

    This role is focused on enabling a smooth, secure, and well-structured transformation rather than long-term ColdFusion feature development.

     

    Primary Responsibilities

    Phase 1: Establish Proper Development Infrastructure

    Your first and highest priority will be to introduce industry-standard engineering practices to the legacy platform:

    • Design and implement a reliable CI/CD pipeline with dedicated staging and production environments
    • Create fully separated development, testing, and production database environments (currently all environments are connected to the production database)
    • Establish safe deployment workflows and modern version control practices
    • Document the current system architecture, integrations, and data models
    • Enable internal teams to work safely and confidently on the platform throughout the transition period

       

    Phase 2: Data Migration Support (Later Stage)

    Once proper infrastructure is in place, you will assist with migration-related tasks:

    • Develop middleware components to support selective data transfer to the new platform
    • Refactor and cleanse existing data to identify high-quality records that meet defined business requirements
    • Migrate approved seller profiles, shop information, and product articles
    • Ensure strong data integrity, validation, and consistency during migration
    • Collaborate closely with both legacy ColdFusion and new-platform development teams

     

    Required Qualifications

    • 5+ years of hands-on ColdFusion development experience
    • Prior experience working with marketplace, e-commerce, or retail platforms
    • Proficiency with AWS cloud infrastructure and services
    • Expert-level knowledge of MySQL, including database normalization and data quality assessment
    • Proven track record implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
    • Experience with data migration or ETL projects
    • Strong skills in data refactoring, validation, and cleansing
    • Ability to work independently and take ownership during a platform sunset project

     

    Nice to Have

    • Experience developing middleware for system migrations
    • Knowledge of data mapping across different platforms
    • Familiarity with data validation and cleansing strategies
    • Previous involvement in sunset or transition projects

    Project Context

    You will be joining at a pivotal moment. The current ColdFusion platform lacks fundamental development infrastructure:

    • No CI/CD pipeline
    • No proper staging environment
    • All environments share the production database

     

    Your initial mission is to build a safe and standardized engineering ecosystem around the existing system so teams can continue operations without risk while the new platform is being developed.
